I owe L&L on California St. a review as I wanted to appreciate the exceptional staff at this location. They are very attentive, friendly, and seem to be always smiling. The food is good but the service is exceptional!

The service was great! The woman behind the counter was friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and easy to navigate. The food however was pricey, which would be fine except the sandwich was the saddest sandwich I've ever paid for. Very little ingredients and sloppily put together. Please note: i grabbed a ready made sandwich because i had to get back to work so maybe their made to order items are better, but based on my experience, I would not return. Again, the staff was lovely, the food was not.
Dietary restrictions: Very clearly displayed allergens, menu easy to navigate for the digestively challenged.

Ordered a small soup but was charged for a medium. Server couldn’t adjust on the POS but she assured me that she had previously told the owner about the issue. This is wrong in so many ways: 1. POS is not the same as the menu so clients can be overcharged 2. The customer facing staff has no authority to make even the smallest decisions to fix an obvious customer service problem 3. The owner knows of a problem that results in customers being overcharged but does nothing to fix it Best of luck if you decide to go there. Watch what you’re being charged. I won’t be back.
The menu board clearly states "Allowed one substitution per salad." When I requested my ONE substitution for avocado in place of the apple, I was sharply told that it would be an extra charge. When I pointed out that the menu board behind them didn't say anything about "premium" or "non-premium" items and I wasn't requesting a protein, they huffed. They then said that they would make the substitution this time. I thanked them paid $35 for TWO Brussels, Kale & Quinoa salads. Onboard when I went to eat my salads, I found no avocado and the apple that I didn't want. They lied and did nothing but take my money. It was a good salad. If they weren't going to substitute the avocado, then I would have requested something else. But they lied and I never had that choice. Apparently, lying to customers who they don't ever expect to see again and take their money is the way that they do business.
Good soup.
With 3 hours to kill, we set off for the food court recommended by a pilot we asked and looked at our options. We decided to "be healthy" after a 10-day cruise and were rewarded with amazing food! The Good Catch Vegan Manhattan Seafood Chowder and Tortilla soup were both amazing and the Cabo salad was hearty enough for us to share and not feel deprived in any way. Of course, we then justified a couple of chocolate chip cookies for dessert-LOL. I now hope we have a reason to get back there again.
I've been coming here for two decades now. No other sullungtang restaurant can compete with the scrumptious broth or the pickled radishes.

One thing San Francisco is good for is culinary diversity. Ladel and Leaf isn't my typical dine-in or carry-out situation but I decided that I would give it a chance. The service here was acceptional and everyone was friendly. Always a good way to start a meal am I wrong?Anyway, it turns out as it so happens with many of the places I eat out at I enjoyed the food without taking the 10 seconds it would take to capture it in a photo so I wrote this review to encourage you all to give it a try especially if it is a venue you wouldn't normally seek out to enjoy!

Soup... my favorite treat. Food is like a place in Baltimore I loved.
Soup and the feeling at this location is excellent. Good place to hang and eat some good food. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service. This place has a nice atmosphere. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I liked.
I enjoyed their vegetarian salad. One could also get it with chicken but I opted not too. Doctors recommend that one eats 4 to 10 cups of vegetable/salad greens each day. Their salads are so huge one could accomplish the 8 to 10 cups just by eating their entire salad. I could not, as the salad was huge so of course enough for another salad lunch. Prices were reasonable - under $10.00. and my beverage of choice of course is water - so had that with the healthy salad. One orders at the counter.
