My favorite dish was the toong choy with fuyu. So aromatic! This used to be Lychee Garden where we'd go as kids. Nice to see it nicely remodeled!

The food is fresh and bursting with flavor, and the service is impressively speedy! I highly recommend trying the Peking duck—it’s cooked to perfection and absolutely delectable!

The duck is the star of the show. Perfect every time. Get it with the super lite and fluffy bao.

Great big dim sum restaurant. There is paid parking on Powell Street. I am Caucasian and go there by myself and enjoy it every time! Do not go around 12-1230, it is very crowded and youll have to wait a bit.

Long wait to get seated, but it was worth it. I liked the set up of checking things directly on to the laminated menu that you wanted- it's reusable and sustainable. Once we were sat the food came out quick and it was all delicious. It's definitely a favorite among locals.

I've heard about this place from my friends, so I came with high expectations -- and Lai Hong lounge delivered. The woodear mushroom dumplings were especially good, and the garlic butter shrimp noodle hit just the right spot. They were unfortunately out of the curry beef dumplings, so I hope to try them if the opportunity provides itself.

The food is good, but the service not so much! I ordered 4 starters and a main course after an hour of waiting the main course was not delivered and they came to say they would cancel because the restaurant is close to closing time and the kitchen was not going to repair the error! Give us the bill and they didn’t give them a tip option, they put it directly without asking what amount I would like to pay!

Forgot our noodles and ended up having to wait after we had finished all our other food for it to come out. Hectic seating and environment but good food

Don’t come here! We are a party of two and they add 18% tip (tax will also be tipped) automatically in the receipt with CAPITALIZED APPROVED! They have absolutely no service and take this for granted. The cookie after getting the check is also terrible. Come here if you wanna be ripped off!

Don't be fooled by the uninviting exterior facade because this restaurant is definitely worth the detour. The dishes are plentiful and tasty, the service is quite fast and the prices are very reasonable. A bill of $234 for 9 people (tips included), this is by far the best value for money we had in San Francisco. A beautiful address in Chinatown

Easily the best dim sum place I’ve experienced in the US. All the dishes we tried were on point with their complex yet balanced flavors and textures.

The ribs were incredibly tender and juicy on the inside with a thin, crispy outer layer of starch-based fried batter, coated in a sweet and savory sauce. The sauce had a note of caramel and fermented black beans. The dried beans were perfectly seasoned and crunchy, and the chive dumplings were so full of grassy, fresh flavors of chives with a hint of fatty pork that provided richness. Chicken feet were so tender and gelatinous that the skin and meat separated from bones so easily and just melted in our mouths. Sticky rice steamed in banana leaves, turnip cakes, pork and shrimp siu mai were all delicious with chunky bits of ingredients in them that enhanced the tactile experience of eating them. The black sesame rolls were also so moist and packed with rich black sesame flavors.

Each dish is cooked fresh and delivered straight to your table, instead of being served on carts, so the dishes are not dried out or overcooked. The atmosphere is very charming and familial, and the service is well-oiled even during the busiest hours. Recommend arriving early when they open on weekends to avoid the wait.

Highly recommended! Tips are included in the bill, FYI.

If a Chinese restaurant is packed with Chinese people, you can tell it’s authentic. Walking into this restaurant, I instantly felt that their food must be good. And oh yes, everything we ordered was a success. Never had as good a turnip cake as theirs. Their chive shrimp dumplings were bomb. My personal favorite was short ribs. They were served after our desert (lol) and we were almost full. But it was so good that I couldn’t stop eating. They steamed the ribs first and fried them. They were not only flavorful but satiating. The only con was that they included tips and didn’t explain it, or maybe because we didn’t understand due to the language barrier. However, I would love to go back.
