Lovely place. Attentive service. Super nice presentations and flavors. Large menu. Decent prices. Can be loud when it's crowded but that's fun too. You should definitely check it out. We enjoyed eggplant, duck and fish with fresh oysters appetizer.
We have been to Lao Table about 3 times now. This time the service and food seemed off -probably because it was crowded and quite noisy. The watermelon salad advertised peanuts and there did not seem to be any. The dessert with anchovies and coconut ice cream seemed to have very few anchovies. Service was off and food was off at this visit. Not sure we would return
Having schooled on Laotian cuisine through close friends, this place certainly maintains its roots of authenticity while infusing modern flavors. Winners from the dishes ordered were the beef tartare (really good) and the grilled cuttlefish. The satay fell flat in spice and texture compared to those from other neighboring countries like Indonesia and Malaysia where satay originated . Then again, Lao style satay is an adaptation. The list of cocktails were creative and playful...
