Our first visit, and definitely not our last. It is so hard to find a genuine, moderately priced French restaurant in the Bay Area. My wife's duck confit was so tender it fell off the bone. My halibut was elegantly dressed with a lobster sauce, VERY good. Service was thorough throughout the meal.
Authentic French cuisine in a lovely setting. We have wanted to dine here for a long time and finally had the opportunity. L'Ardoise did not disappoint. Everything was delicious - Brussels sprout salad, heirloom tomato salad, ribeye special, and above all, the duck leg confit. Next time I'll skip the potatoes in duck fat. Great wine list and excellent service. Highly recommend if you enjoy French food.
An absolute delightful bistro in Duboce. The meal was perfect. The heirloom tomato salad was fresh and a perfect start to the summer meal. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and the lobster bisque cream sauce and pommes purée was beautifully light and absolutely delicious. The hanger steak frittes was also amazing. I'll definitely be back!
