We arrived at SF almost at midnight after a 12 hour flight. We were starving, and this place was perfect. Cold beer and good food. Shepperd's pie was great. Fish and chips was too bland.

The curry is not great, too thin and needs salt. It's average at best. House fries are frozen, not house cut as in the menu.

Friendly enough service but the food and drinks were only ok. The cider tasted really stale, we mentioned this but did not get a reaction. They automatically charge 20% for parties of 5. I don’t mind tipping 20%, but then I expect something if three people on the table are not happy with their drinks.

Had to take a wiz lol. Staff let me right in and so I sat down to ordered a chili-guy and fish/chips. Food was good and beer was good too. Low score was for drunk guy that bumped me with door. Nice clean spot and bathroom was on point!!!

This is the part I hate about Google reviews. Is it gourmet? Heck no. Is it romantic? Heck no. Is it a damned fine pub with good beer and solid pub grub? Absolutely. So five stars for being an excellent pub. But please go in with your expectations properly calibrated!

I had an overnight laypver and stopped in here while I was staying at the Fairmont. It was a short walk. Food and drinks are good. Staff is helpful, and the other guests were friendly. It was nice it stayed open late. There wasn't much for other options.
Interesting British pub like bar in the Union Square area of San Francisco. Chill environment for a drink with friends.

Potentially the worst Guinness I've ever had, I paid 9USD plus the obligatory tax and tip for a half pint poured in a plastic cup. Not sure why I paid a tip because the service was most unwelcoming. Rancid bathrooms and the bar wasn't much cleaner. I didn't dare try the food. It's a rancid place, I wouldn't return if the beer was free.
