Long haired blonde male bartender with a beard was incredibly rude to my group of friends on one of their birthdays because we were trying to figure out what we wanted to order. The bar was empty and he was extremely hostile and cursed at us for no reason whatsoever. I would not recommend this bar as a safe space for anyone in sf. I would not recommend going here until they replace this rude bartender.

Casual setting right off mission. A stones throw from 24th and mission bart. Get the marg, it's great! Also, it's directly next door to Black & Blue Tattoo if you're into ink. I've had work done by Rachael Dobos a resident tattoo artist there. She's good

Realized later on that bartender kept most of a $20 bill for one pint as an assumed large tip. No wonder it’s cash only place with greedy and rude service staff. Not going back

A classic SF bar. Been going here for forever. Great place to catch up with friends in one of the booths. Bartenders always friendly and make a great margarita. The decor inside is cute vintage with a piñata filled ceiling but the outside is nice on a hot day too.

Along with Kilowatt, Dalva, and a few others, this is one of my all-time favorite Mission bars.
And like most good dive bars, it has a cool vibe, solid bartenders, cheap drinks, unpretentious patrons*, and discretionary hygiene. I have had many great nights here with friends from the 'hood, mostly mid-week staying out late on a school night. This is not a place to have a quiet conversation, the place can get pretty raucous (hey, don't you see the piñatas hanging above as a clue?). One day, I'll find out what's inside those piñatas (I'm sure they're filled with daydreams).
* Bets are off on weekends regarding level of unpretentiousness

22nd between Valencia and Mission is some kind of power block. And the long time anchor for the block is the Latin American club. Which isn’t Latin, might be sort of American, and isn’t a club. It has famously strong margaritas, and famously quirky decor including lots of strange piñatas hanging from the ceiling. There’s also always a rotating art show. Tip: if the full margarita is too overwhelming, order a half margarita.

Place is legend in the neighborhood. Great margaritas and a great staff. Lots of tequila behind the bar and tap list that will please everyone.

I’ve been going to this bar for over 25 years but yesterday ( Sunday between 5:30-7) will change that. I usually order the margarita but I ordered a martini which was incredibly weak (left sitting in ice too long) then tried my luck with a mule but that had no vodka in it. I was with two others and we all noticed that the place was dead then said.. oh the drinks suck. I spent a lot of money for a tiny glass of ice.

A damn good place to go for a drink, and usually a fun raucous environment to be the background to your date or solo night out on the town. A really good triple(?) or quadruple margarita for 17 dollars isn't too bad either, one of those alone will have many under the table and stumbling towards the nearest hot dog or taco stand.

Nice vibe
Needs no introduction. A neighborhood stable and definitely my new favorite watering hole. The bartender that poured for me is a true gem, and you can tell she’s a veteran in the game.
Looking forward to enjoying many more margaritas here.
