Casual setting right off mission. A stones throw from 24th and mission bart. Get the marg, it's great! Also, it's directly next door to Black & Blue Tattoo if you're into ink. I've had work done by Rachael Dobos a resident tattoo artist there. She's good
A classic SF bar. Been going here for forever. Great place to catch up with friends in one of the booths. Bartenders always friendly and make a great margarita. The decor inside is cute vintage with a piñata filled ceiling but the outside is nice on a hot day too.
Along with Kilowatt, Dalva, and a few others, this is one of my all-time favorite Mission bars.
And like most good dive bars, it has a cool vibe, solid bartenders, cheap drinks, unpretentious patrons*, and discretionary hygiene. I have had many great nights here with friends from the 'hood, mostly mid-week staying out late on a school night. This is not a place to have a quiet conversation, the place can get pretty raucous (hey, don't you see the piñatas...
