I’ve ordered several times via Williams Sonoma and the products are direct ship from the bakery. Generally I’ve always lost 30 to 40% of the product due to insufficient care in packaging but today I received an order that was shipped in a simple plain cardboard box, not even a shipping container with zero cold pack of any kind at all. Obviously the product had thawed and fully risen long before it reached me and there I could smell the spoiled dough before I opened the box. This company is obviously uninterested in shipping products anywhere. Don’t waist your time or your money.

Crispy croissant, modest butter flavor without being too heavy!

Heaven is where cooks are french and waiters and English. Hell is when cooks are English and waiters are french.

Love the owner of this spot.
Love the spot, atmosphere, food is great, everything is just amazing!

But gosh the waiters SUCK.

Best burger in the city, hands down. Who would have thought a French café would outperform the most established restaurants in the Bay Area in making a burger!

Being from Paris, I came here with a lot of expectation and the only French thing about this restaurant is the service, which is the most terrible service in the world. Waiters totally ignore you, food comes in 45 mn after you order it. Never seen anything like this in the US. La catastrophe!

We order their delicious back with pancakes and also had their almond croissant. The food is great. The service is very friendly, but not the quickest and altogether this place has a lot of charm.

This place has so much potential and great food and atmosphere but why is it always so understaffed? Takes forever to make an order, if you’re lucky to find a free table outside you better off clean it up on your own otherwise they will never notice, it’s just so utterly disorganized and that’s a shame. Are we struggling to find great workers in the Castro? Will gladly make some referrals!

In my opinion, this is the best croissant in SF. Especially when they heat up the croissant, which a lot of other popular spots in the city don’t do.

The worst part of the place is the wait time to get coffee. It took me 25 min today to get my black drip coffee!!! I really enjoy eating hot croissant with coffee, but today my experience was spoiled because of the wait. Croisssant came in 2 min, coffee took 25 min!

Wonderful place to enjoy Al Fresco metal in the Castro District. I ordered a Moca, however they were out of Chocolate, the lady taking the order suggested a Nutela Latte and it was very good. My food order was a Soupe Á L’Onion, a deliscious savory Beef broth with Gruyere cheese and Levain Crouton, Onión Soup at it’s best. The sliced Ham with Gruyere Cheese had a spicy Gray Poupon mustard in between thick sliced of bread and was toped with a fried egg on top, served with mixed greens and a tangy mustard dressing.

overhyped and overpriced for the mediocre crèpes. Nutella crèpe only has the crèpe and nutella, nothing else for $12 I at least thought it would have some fruits or something but it was simple, and the smoked salmon crèpe my friend ordered was also really simple for its price. The place looks really nice but the food wasn’t, maybe their pastries taste better

Bought two croissants and a brioche suisse. The brioche had no chocolate inside of it, just at the end. The croissants were nice but not the best and overpriced.
