O. M. G. How does one choose? There were pastries, pastries and more pastries. Some were filled with chocolate. Some with fruit jam. Some simply asked you to enjoy unadorned French pastry. There were little quiches and muffins and other stuff of yum-dreams, too. All in a clean, exciting and wonderful-smelling store. Go there!

Heavenly I wish they were closer to market st... The pastries here from this bakery are made in heaven, they're so delectable especially the croissant flakey soft heaven in your mouth. You'll regrettably try something from your local shop only to find your taste buds only want Les Gourmands it's worth the trip every time from nob hill through the TL's anytime!!!

Every time I visit SF, I always find myself visiting Les Gourmands at least 2-3 times while I'm here. Their pastries are some of the best I've had and I'm always coming back for more. This time when I came there was a NEW dessert that had this beautiful red, glossy exterior and fruity filling. It is now one of my favorite items from that bakery. There's nothing like biting into a million layers of flakey, buttery pastry. Every time I go back, they have new pastries that I haven't seen from before. Some of the staples that I love are the chocolate croissant and the regular croissant. As long as they keep serving out these delicious pastries, I will keep on coming back for more!

Super delicious french bakery downstairs of an apartment complex. They got the classics, croissants that look super delicious. But they also have different pastries hard to find in the states, like Chouquettes (like cream puffs without the cream, but super airy and crunchy yet fluffy delish) and Paris Brest (full of hazelnut cream, yummy!). But they don't wear masks. But erm, delicious pastries. I remained healthy.

Excellent variety. Flavor was amazing. The shop is conveniently located and each item is a work of art. Loved that they have a huge variety of item. Highly recommend

This place is all over the place. Croissants are flat. No cookies or anything your child will want. Also since when is there chocolate in an almond croissant? Go to tartine!

I live in Mosso apartments and always pass by this bakery. I have tried it once. Incredibly rude and disrespectful customer service. Pastries and drinks are overpriced. Pastries are OK, but not the absolute best like I was expecting. Coffee was served in a small, little cup. I do not recommend this place. Go elsewhere. Extremely rude.

Their croissants are amazing! I come here semi regularly and the last time I went, I got a regular croissant - and one of the staff went to the back to get me one fresh out of the oven. Less buttery (not in a bad way, just different) and bigger than Arsicault's. Their other pastries are expensive but worth trying whatever catches your eye. If you buy a coffee then you get a free tiny pastry. Not a fan of their specialty (pear + chocolate tart) though

I stopped by Les Gourmands for a few items for breakfast. While there is good variety of croissants and pastries here, I did not find them that remarkable. Everything was cold and tasted about a day old (1 star off). I inquired about a few items that were unfamiliar to me, and the staff couldn't really explain them to me (1 star off). I ended up only getting a chocolate croissant and a fruit tart because I actually knew what those were.

One of my favorites. I've moved away from SF but still enjoy this place when I get to visit. Pastries and coffee! ?

I wish I could give Les Gourmands' pastries more than 5 stars. I've never tasted fruit pastries better than theirs. I tried the Oranais (apricot and vanilla) and Apple Turnover and both were perfectly made. I've never had a pastry with apricots before, yet the Oranais is probably the most delicious pastry I've ever had. The tangy-sweetness of the apricots, mixed with the fluffy vanilla filling in the middle made for a perfect balance. It was soft and fresh with a nice amount of flakiness in the pastry. It's pricey at $6.75, but worth the occasional splurge. The apple turnover had a wonderful apple filling and delicious, buttery pastry surrounding it. While the turnover was tasty, the Oranais stole the show and would be what draws me back to Les Gourmands Bakery. Overall, Les Gourmands is a fantastic bakery that mastered the art of pastries!

Wonderful bakery! Great croissants, danishes and a variety of other goodies. Very friendly owners too. Truly a taste of French boulangeries right here in the city

The pastries are visually very on-point and well-executed. The texture of the Galette des Rois was - very buttery, crispy, and flaky. I found the flavors/taste, however, to be lacking. I'm not sure if the patisserie Normande (pastries from Normandy) is supposed to be mild and delicate, but I found myself wanting more flavor - more distinct almond, hazelnut, and lemon flavors. I didn't feel very satisfied because everything kind of tasted the same. I agree with other reviewers that the owners are warm and welcoming but that the prices are high for the quality. This place is probably great for the usual suspects - like butter, ham/cheese, chocolate croissants...

Run by the sweetest people, I promise this place will not disappoint! The kindness of the people who work here are enough to keep me continuously coming back every week. The greatest part is that their pastries are just as beautiful and delightful as the people who make them.
