My favorite char kway teow and Indonesian fried noodle (mie goreng jawa). It is very tasty. Great customer service, too! Recommended 👍

Food is always great. My favorite is the hainanese chicken rice and it comes with a broth. (A side note, this broth is absolutely what you need when you're sick!) Ming (I think he's the owner?) is very welcoming.

The service was also exceptional, the staff was very attentive and offered help in figuring out quantities of food too.

Unassuming place but everything was so good!! We got the Godo godo salad (highly recommend), hainan chicken rice, and the hokkien bee hoon (had so much seafood!)
that brought us back to south east Asia. Super fair prices and portions too! Wish there were similar places east side of the city.

I lived a couple of years in Penang during my teenage years and have travelled back to Malaysia several times as an adult. If you are yearning for the Malaysian food you recall from Malaysia, don’t bother with this restaurant since you will be sorely disappointed as I was. Never had a worse Char Kway Teow in my life since this restaurant’s version was mushy and bland. Our other 2 dishes was equally poor.

Lime Tree in the Inner Richmond on Clement street: Asian food is my fave & I admit, I'm a snob when it comes to my Asian cuisine since they're many restaurant's to choose from in SF/Bay Area. It really blows my mind Lime Tree does not attract more attention or foot traffic compared to similar South East Asian restaurant's in the Richmond neighborhood that have long waiting lines, pricey menu & way over-hyped IMO.
I've dined in & had take out. Each time the service was friendly, prompt & courteous.
Appetizer - loved their Roti, comes out temperature hot, slightly doughy & tiny bit of golden brown, cooked perfectly & yummy.
Their chicken fried rice w/egg was flavorful & had that "wok hay" distinct flavor for chefs that master cooking stir fry with a wok.
Laksa - a nice flavored coconut broth with prawns that were generous in size & crunchy-fresh.
I found my new go to Southeast Asian restaurant for super friendly service, great tasting food & avoiding long waits/lines from over-hyped restaurants in the same neighborhood that serve's similar style cuisines. Lime Tree deserves your business.
When my lunch mates and I couldn’t decide which southeast Asian cuisine to have, this little restaurant scratches every itch! You almost can’t go wrong with the variety offered. We had the roti appetizer which was nice with just enough crisp in the right spots along with a nice curry dipping sauce. The Hainan chicken was yummy along with the season rice as was the shrimp and glass noodle and curry chicken. We washed it all down with Thai teas that hit the spot! We’ll be back to support this local gem both in person and for pick up!
