Long overdue review—Little Aloha is a gem in SF for those craving authentic Hawaiian garlic shrimp and other snacks.
Shrimps are perfectly crispy, so you can eat them shell-on. Their spicy garnish is a nice blend of salty, spicy, and Chinese black bean sauce flavors. They don’t skimp here—enjoy finishing it with your white rice. Tater tots pair well here too.
To my knowledge, it’s the only legit “shave” ice in the city in the sense the ice is like freshly fallen soft snow, not the hard rocky ice we typically get in “shaved” ice. Portion sizes are huge, and the syrups pack tons of flavor.
I gotta try their malasadas next time (on Saturday’s only)—until then, I’d recommend this legit Hawaiian outpost to anyone craving the real deal.

Delicious Shrimp plate!!! Loved it. Got the half plate & it was perfect portion for a snack before dinner later! Also amazing shaved ice very comparable to the ones I had on the Island (: Snow Cap on it is a MUST! Thanks guys.

Very tasty Hawaiian plates from this little shop! The garlic shrimp was good but the grilled pineapple sausage is definitely the star of the show. I really appreciated that you can get half orders, which are a great lunch size. I’ll definitely be back to try the shave ice. This is very convenient to get to, with an L stop right outside. No seating inside, but you can take your food to one of the benches at McCoppin Square.

I highly recommend trying this place. The shaved ice was excellent, with a good portion size and just the right amount of sweetness. The spam kimchi musubi was also good; I liked that it was portioned perfectly for me to bite into it without the ingredients falling apart

People were super friendly with our family. The shave ice was like taking a trip to Hawaii, so good and all the extras like ube ice cream and li hing powder. Also the purple potato salad was delicious! We'll be back.
