Our experience was the experience that wasn't. The restaurant had closed. We were not informed, and we proceeded to go to the restaurant at our reserve time and it was closed. When looking it up on OpenTable, OpenTable stated at the restaurant had been reported as closed. It would have been excellent to receive an email prior to the reservation date of this change. I could not cancel my reservation nor could I make a new reservation to a substitute for this one. OpenTable can do better.
We ask for a cozy table for a birthday dinner for 6- instead we were split accross 2 large tables and had to shout to be heard-
Is a gorgeous place you just feel really in the middle of Marrakesh. The food is incredible and the stuff is so sweet. My favorite is the couscous with lamb.
All the food we ordered was bland. Everything needed salt and they incorrectly charged us. They gave us their old menus with the prices all being lower; claiming they “accidentally” gave us the wrong menus. Then charge us with the prices on their new menus that we never received. After some discussion the restaurant decided to let us pay with the old menu prices instead of the new raised menu prices. Why do you still have the old menus if not to rip ppl off...??? My friend ordered the Moroccan tea and they kept bringing her refills. Every time they brought her a new one she made sure to ask them if it was free. Keep in mind she never actually asked for more tea. She was assured the tea was free by a woman who doesn't understand or speak English...come to find out by another waitress that the refills are not free. $24 for 3 sets of tea! Unbelievable. Never coming again. Disappointing.
Amazing experience. Such an accommodating and friendly staff for our large group. The food was amazing and the ambience was beautiful.
The food, decor and service was excellent. There is a lot of variety. We tried the fish tagine, beef skewers, various breads and dips and the lentil soup. Even the lemonade was flavorful and delicious. Very attentive and friendly service and cool decor. I hope more people go. Only 3 tables were filled.
This place has to be closing. They did not have white wine by the bottle or beer in stock. There were only a few people there and almost no staff.
I can't believe I haven't been here sooner the food and service was amazing can't wait to return
The best food I've had in a while. I will travel back to San fran JUst to eat here again. Went there for dinner and still thinking about it!
The food was authentic and tasty. The atmosphere and decorations were special. The service was excellent. The waitress was attentive to us, very friendly, and gave us good recommendations of wine. The owner of this family-run business stopped by to greet during dinner and then, as we were leaving, she made sure Io courteously chat with us and wave us goodbye at the door. We'll definitely be back!

As part of a group gathering this was booked however, I do not recommend the place. Unfortunately the food was simply not that great. I ordered the Moroccan tea and the soup which are fairly basic items that I feel should be top-notch at a restaurant like this.

I've been to L'Mida twice at this point, and the second time was disappointing. I do hope this restaurant is able to turn it around, as I love having Moroccan her in the Marina. We booked an 8:45 dinner, and on arrival, the restaurant was all but empty. They had turned on the floodlights over the main dining hall, as well as some bright fluorescent lights over the open kitchen area. This absolutely killed all the work they had done to create an ambiance for dining, as well as told us they were already closed for the night, despite our reservation. Service was curt, rushed, and we felt pressured at every turn to order, eat faster, pay our bill before we were finished. It was awful hospitality, and I have worked these jobs in my own life for years. If the restaurant intends to close at 9pm, realistically, they should not accept reservations past 8pm, knowing the staff will be discreetly cleaning up (without flood lights or fluorescent lights on) in the background, but giving guests at least 2 hours to enjoy a meal, with good service. Again, I hope they can turn this around, but this was dissappointing.
Just amazing!
Highly recommend if you wanna try authentic morrocan cuisine

I had the fish tagline, which was a piece of overcooked salmon on a stew base. My husband ate the lamb shank which seemed small and had nothing else on the plate. We thought the flavoring was delicious however.
