So good but takes forever to check out after you have food in hand. Standing here with a bunch of people that just need a to pay. Strange place to bottleneck.
This place is a hidden gem in San Francisco! It’s a family-owned business, and you can really feel the love and care they put into everything—from the warm welcome when you walk in to the way they make sure you’re happy with your meal. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh, and made with attention to detail. It’s the kind of spot that reminds you why it’s so important to support local, family-run places. They truly go above and beyond to take care of their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend you give them a try!

Local Roots is a great spot downtown for lunch. The food is delicious and feels so healthy. The wait can be a bit long because it’s often packed, but it’s worth the wait. Or, plan ahead and order online!

A couple of friends and I went to Local Roots for lunch today. We all ended up ordering the Monster burrito special. In many ways, it is just a regular burrito; rice, black beans, chicken, white cheddar, salsa, etc. wrapped in a spinach tortilla. But there are also some differences. The ingredients are fresher than a lot of cantinas, and there it is noticeably less salty. You can also change things up a little; add some fresh spinach, or cauliflower, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The dining area isn't as loud as a lot of the other lunchtime spots in downtown. The service is also friendly and fast.

Really good, whole food near Fi-Di. The meatless meatloaf is a good option for vegetarian (veg) folks, and there's a wide array of options for anyone. Fast and decent prices.

The California curry salad was delicious, but the plastic container it came in was very hard to open :(
The staff is incredibly friendly and food tastes great!
I love this place! I had the local roots salad with chicken and couscous and it was delicious and a hearty meal.

Best salad in SF.
These are hands down the most generous portions I’ve seen in a long time, especially in the FiDi area. It’s a pleasure having a work lunch here

One of the best salad places in the city, by far. So much better than mixed. Their salads are fresh, organic and the ingredients are awesome. Also they have a great space and isn’t noisy

Good lunch spot, walking distance from a bunch of places in downtown. Had a couple of appetizing vegan options. I chose the meatloaf sandwich and was pleasantly surprised.
