The chocolate babka was transcendent! I wasn't quite as enthusiastic about the chickpea tarragon bourekas.
Parking is a nightmare, as you probably already expect in San Francisco. But the shop is worth it - so cute and welcoming. The staff behind the counter were lovely.
Great little spot that has evolved into Loquat. If you blink, you’ll miss it, but that’s why it’s so special. Come in for a quick coffee, but stay for the pastries and hideout.
I went in here to get one thing, but asked the counter person what her favorite was and she said the lemon rosemary tart with no hesitation. So, I ditched plan A and went with the lemon rosemary tart. I’m glad I did. It was so silky and the rosemary was not overpowering which tends to happen more often than I’d like.
Good service, great tart, quaint and cozy inside. (The inside didn’t change much from the previous shop, 20th Century Cafe.)
