Just had breakfast here before heading to the airport to fly home to the UK. Love it, great setup, good food and fun environment. Recommended.

Stumbled across this awesome 'American Diner' on my work trip to San Francisco and ended up going twice. Once for breakfast and once for a late lunch.

As I was in my I sat at the counter both times and the service was incredible. Friendly and happy staff who ensured I had everything I needed. Leaving me alone when I needed but always making sure I had enough to drink.

The food was cooked fresh and came out hot. The quality was wonderful and the portion size was more than enough.

Can get busy in the morning with the commuters but they will always ensure you have a space.

I know I will be back when I visit San Francisco, but in the meantime I will remember it with fondness.

Highly recommend if you are ever in San Fran with work or for pleasure

Add 5% healthcare fee to the 'official' prices on the menu. Not a very decent 'surprise' and business policy. US getting more and more a country where few fill their pockets when others do the work. 17$ for a simple omelette PLUS tip PLUS healthcare. Where does all the money go if food is maybe 2$ and wages are almost completely paid by tip?

Decided on Old School Patty Melt w Cole Slaw, decaf coffee( was old/burnt -drank half but didn't complain), cup of soup- might have been less than a measuring cup- too wind-whipped to speak up. Unable to post picture tonight.

When you cross the threshold of Lori's diner, the little music "Sunday Monday happy days, Tuesday Wednesday happy days" from the famous TV series of the same name will stick in your head as the decoration and interior atmosphere are inspired by the 50s with a large counter and its rows of stools, flashy colors, without forgetting the unmissable gleaming vintage car which sits in the middle of the restaurant.

We tested it for breakfast but Lori's offers a wide range of dishes for "Lunch" and "Dinner" where fans of Burgers, Sandwiches, soups, steaks or pastas will inevitably find what they are looking for.

The poached eggs Benedict and Florentine on toast that we chose were very good, topped with Hollandaise sauce and accompanied by a not too salty Potato Rosti, ideal for tasting a typical American breakfast.

The only downside is that the prices displayed are quite expensive, you have to count around $20 (excluding taxes and tips) for breakfast and add $4 if you want a coffee, but for the price it is served as much as you like ( with milk if desired) and with a smile by a team of friendly and professional waiters. An address which is therefore worth stopping there, even if there is little chance of meeting Fonzie, Richie, Howard or Marion ;-)

I went for dinner given the good reviews it had, but it was a major disappointment. I ordered a vegetarian burger, but it was a failure: the bun was wet, you could tell it had just been thawed in the microwave, in fact, the bottom slice was all wet and impossible to touch because it was hot, nothing like this had ever happened to me. The potatoes a little similar, reheated. The photo looks much better than in reality, and I added the ketchup.
The service, quite average, not bad, but not good either. With the last bite they asked us if we wanted anything else and, when we said no, they invited us to get up and pay.
Also, the place is not very pretty, it looks good in the photo but in reality it is quite shabby, especially the bathrooms.

Vegetarian options: Few and very basic. Without further ado

Of all the cities I have visited in the United States, which must have been about 10, this is by far the worst place I have eaten in, and look, I have eaten in third-rate bars and highway motels.
Waiters arguing among themselves, the food is terrible, they don't let you pay by phone, the atmosphere is super sad, three waiters for 60 people.
Even the decoration seems fake, 4 meters further up the same street there are 10 better places.
I don't recommend it for anything, not even to take a photo.

I really love this place, if you ever going to visit San Francisco you really need To go to Loris Diner. You feel like going back to the 60. Our waitress Beatriz was really nice.

Me and my buddy traveled from Houston Texas to San Francisco for a week. We both are in love with the Food and Atmosphere when I tell you that is the best milk shake I have had I am not exaggerating, Their burgers are also amazing. The service of Loris is not bad by any means but it fully depends on the day that you are coming some days are better than others. We came here a total of 3 times as of now and will definitely keep coming!

Wheelchair accessibility: I was sitting near the front of Loris and they had 3 people who came in wheelchairs and was able to sit them all comfortably and made sure their families could sit too. Only thing that might be tough is to get to the bathroom but just depending on size of the wheelchair I suppose.
