Ordered here for the first time after living in sf for years and always seeing a line outside. One of the sandwiches ordered said it came with mayo, mustard, lettuce, onions, and tomato, when we opened it it was literally turkey on bread. Nothing else…. (almost $25), then next sandwich was opened and upon taking the first bite a very long dyed strand of hair came out of the center. Foul. Disgusting. Threw it away.
The staff was nice but $70 for 3 very sub-par sandwiches and HAIR in the food?????? No, be so for real.
Not worth it, never returning.
0/10 do not recommend.

Terrible business practice. Got a sandwhich and it was dripping with so much sauce it made the bread soggy within the 10 minutes it took to get back to work and try to eat it. The flavor was so overpowering. I tried to scape it off but it was soaked into the stale, hard bread, the layers of cheese and veggies. I was unable to eat the sandwhich. I called to ask for a refund or replacement and was told yes by a female employee, then, for some reason a male took over the call and told me no, he would not do anything to remedy the situation because I ordered the sandwhich. I didnt order a soggy sauce sandwhich. Been here a few times when working in the area. Will not return.

This place has such incredible sandwiches! I get the caprese. It's a little crowded inside but they have a great system, and it's always super fresh!

Pickup order 50 minutes late... Not coming back
Gem of a spot. I highly recommend coming during the week. Service was much smoother. Staff takes the time to make your sandwich from scratch. I’d go for the Calabrian next time. A little pricey but worth the splurge.

A trip down memory lane! I used to frequent this deli while as a college student working nearby in the mid 1970s. Their delicious sandwiches & salad offerings made for a nice meal. It was like a part of Little Italy from North Beach in the Marina district. Having moved out of the area since & onto a return visit 5/25…the shop looked pretty much the same except their menu have expanded at least two fold…huge selection of meats, cheeses, breads, & extras…same friendly efficient service, everything freshly sliced…can’t return soon enough! Highly recommended!
