I now have a new baseline for my new favorite roast beef sandwich. He was incredibly friendly as he made my roast beef on sliced sourdough with jack cheese and everything except onions. He toasted the bread and melted the cheese and it was super yummy. I got a veggie on a wheat roll and my husband really enjoyed it.I was initially taken aback since it felt like I was walking into a corner liquor store. I quickly realized that it is a beloved shop to the neighbors who were all greeted by name. They had all sorts of things for purchase and it was clean, and well stocked.I will definitely be going back when we are next in the neighborhood.P.S. it appears to be owned and operated by a husband and wife team who were really nice and welcoming.

This is hands down the best sandwiches in Inner Sunset, nay, in San Francisco, nay, IN CALIFORNIA!!!!The Dutch Crunch Roll, is actually insane, but the others breads like the classic Italian rolls are amazing as well.The fresh ingredients are all top class! They always put a healthy chunk of any of the sauces I request. For some reason their Jalapenos are always somehow special. I'm literally salivating right now!Before I go ahead and order it right now, cant miss out on complimenting the staff as well. Everyone who works at Lucca's are always super sweet and chatty. Gives out a proper family vibe with the love they show (with the sandwiches as well).

Great stop for a quick sandwich bite. They have two small tables in front or you can just take it to-go. Mini mart inside if you wanna grab some chips on the side or drinks. DIY your own sandwich or order one of the pre-made selections. I got the Italian Combination #2 and it was very filling. Was enough to share half with some chips. They have cold and hot options. Close to Golden Gate Park stop!
This place was super disappointing. Went to buy a sandwich and got some liquor to go to make some mixed drinks. I left the business and as I'm getting ready to get on the train realized the bottle was cracked and had obviously been tampered with. I returned to tell them the situation, and they proceeded to get extremely aggressive and tell me that I could not get a refund for the cracked bottle and that I needed to leave. At that point, I realized the best thing to do was just that and I did. The main issue at this place is the aggression and the fact that their food is pretty bad now and expensive when it used to be reasonable. And the final issue is a product that was not to be sold and was sold and then them not taking responsibility. It's very unfortunate. I will never go back or support. This kind of aggressive behavior and just getting ripped off in general is so frustrating. Enough said.there are plenty of sandwich, shops and wine shops in the city that excel, and would always do a place like this even on a mediocre level And in response to Sam,, Kay, the owners response. The dishonesty that you have fabricated in your response to my yelp response is obviously confirmation that you were not being honest. It's really unfortunate. Without trying to insinuate a huge conflict it must be acknowledged that Sam, K, the owner of this business, and this business is dead wrong corrupt, and should be reprimanded for their fraudulent Practices and lies. If you were going to sell a product, at least make sure it is in sellable shape. It's that simple man. An owner can reply to a yelp review and insinuate lies or just fabricate them outright, but the bottom line is what was wrong is a fraudulent sale of a bottle. This should have been made correct immediately on the spot and instead, this correct business chose to multiply their lies and create more of a conflict. It's a dad issue at this point. I made my point. Peace to the business and peace of the owner, even though they obviously love, wars, and lies. Respect to the San Francisco community. Those that love sandwiches, and good wine.this would definitely be the exception to the rule. And an unfortunate business and an unfortunate place with unfortunate people that's supply hate, and lies. And in final conclusion, it's impossible to drink a bottle in the period of five seconds when you have left in return. It's also illegal to drink in public last time I checked. Get your fax, correct Sam please do please do for the community. Enough said.

Always jam packed, but you never have to wait too terribly long. Staff is very friendly and the sandwiches are excellent. They have a large assortment of Italian goods which is always fun to buy and try.
