This was an incredible experience, the sandwiches were soooo good. You can tell the quality is superb. The deli also has a cute cafe inside where they serve really nice drinks (matcha, coffee, etc) with several syrup/flavor options, some of which are seasonal. The deli is also a super close walk to Alamo square and the painted ladies, which elevates the experience.

Me and my wife really enjoyed this spot. We had the spicy tuna and it was really good. Definitely a revisit soon.

Never hesitate to say this is my favorite sando spot in the city. Been coming here since they opened and they NEVER MISS. You really can’t go wrong with any of the the masterpieces on the menu but my top three are… 3. BLTA. 2. Spicy Tuna Melt. 1. Roast Beef. What can I say besides GET YOURSELF ONE ASAP. There’s a cute coffee shop inside so grab a drink while you wait, then pop across the street to Alamo Square. Don’t forget some potato chips to add to your sandwich… duh šŸ™„.

First time to try their sandwich. And I fell in love with theā€tuna meltā€. Crunchy, fresh, loaded with just the right amount of tuna and veggies. Will be back for sure when I visit SF again.

I loved the vegan sandwich with the cashew romanesco! So good and filling!! It's definitely one of the best sandwich spots! It's a pity that there are no more seats besides one bench in front of the shop.

Super delicious, friendly staff, small quaint place.

Wow!! This is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Gotta love a place that says ā€œno substitutionsā€ they know it’s good. Soppressata was on freakin point, house made pickles, balsamic reduction, artichoke cream cheese….you gotta try it šŸ”„

The roast beef sandwich was excellent! I kept half the portion to eat the next day and it still tasted amazing. Loved the contrast of pickled onions & onion jam, the bread was fresh and the beef perfectly cooked.

Our regular sandwich shop. Reasonably priced and sandwiches are always packed to the brim and bursting. Every sandwich is good. Satisfied my east coast hoagie cravings.

I’m not a sandwich gal but this sandwich made me a sandwich gal.

FOOD:
Got the pastrami, which is one of the few sandwiches served hot! As an Asian I gotta admit I have never gotten the allure of a cold sandwich, so maybe that’s part of my sandwich gal conversion. Warm, spicy, saucy, and the bread is PERFECT and crunchy and airy.

My partner and I were full when we arrived but ordered a sandwich anyway; we were gonna eat just half of it and save the rest for later but nah. After he took the first bite, said ā€œthis sandwich will make you hungry.ā€ Truly it did. IT WAS INHALED.

SERVICE: ok! They said it’ll probs take 20mins for our sandwich so we walked around Alamo for a bit. But came in 20min later and the sandwich was there for a while so maybe just wait around if u prefer it warmer, rather than leaving.

ATMOSPHERE: ok basement! Why not? Does the job. There are two benches outside to eat at, + the park right nearby. Bring a picnic mat if you want! We just ate at the children’s playground. PLUS POINTS: great coffee spot in this basement. Got a gingerbread latte. Was awesome!

Roast beef sandwich was next level. They share a space with a great coffee shop as well. Will try and get my hands on this coffee and sandwich combo every time I'm in the city.
