SO GOOD! I’m so glad a malatang spot opened in The Richmond since I kept going to Berkeley for some. The space was incredibly clean while the service was excellent. I wish the bone broth was a bit creamier, but was nonetheless yummy.
This is a nice addition to Clemente Street for spicy hot pot of various varieties. Malatang the numbing Chinese flavor was our draw in to the store, but they have many other versions of soups such as laksa and tom yum. The beef broth was a little weak, but the numbing flavor was quite strong. You pick all of your ingredients and we enjoyed all except we found we didn't like the yam noodles. I love malatang and this one is authentic and delicious. I chose the bone beef broth which is rich and creamy and medium spices for some mala (numbing) flavor. I also got the shaved noodles. It was perfect! Will definitely come back!
