A wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion! We loved the food, atmosphere, and special touches they gave my father to celebrate his 80th birthday. Highly recommend!

The food was pretty terrible. We ordered a petite filet , they were out of the New York so I got the Kansas City. We got it Maxwell style but it tasted disgusting. My girlfriend felt sick after. I'm not one to create problems at restaurants so we just paid and left. Very disappointing and food tasted terrible. For a high end steakhouse it was definitely terrible.

Loud music made it difficult to hear the waiter. Medium rare lamb and beef came out bloody rare and had to be sent back. They came back very hot yet only slightly improved. Makes me think they microwave their meat. Food was WAY over salted. Fried potatoes were stale. Prices were high, even for SF.

The food was not as good as expected for fine dining. The Chilean Sea Bass was a bit over cooked. Didn't even come out with a piece of parsley for garnish. The scallop potatoes were meh. Truly the bread, drinks and ambience was the best part.

We went on Valentine's Day, service and food were great. You have a 15 minute grace period for your reservation time. I witnessed a few people exceeding that time and were told they could not be accommodated but were welcome to find a seat at the bar. So make sure to plan parking ahead!

Service is ALWAYS top notch. Very attentive staff BUT the food is extremely overpriced and overrated. Steaks in ceramic sizzling platers is all the razzle dazzle and by the time the plate cools all the meat is WELL DONE. Lobster tails over cooked. Everything we ordered lacked flavor EXCEPT the pork belly. Disappointed in the salad dressings; nothing tasted homemade. All in all it's a cute swanky little place to get all fancied up to eat but in terms of value...we were robbed. We've dined at the San Fran location a few times and this was the last! The Vegas restaurant is much better.

The host Brian downstairs was horrible. After arriving he told us that they needed the table back by 5pm and that we only had 45 minutes to eat. Honestly people who rushes guests to hurry up and eat? They do not state on their website that they don't have valet parking, which is ridiculous seeing that this is supposed to be an upscale restaurant. We waited forever for our food and then the steak was medium when I had specifically asked for medium well. Horrible experience, I don't know who the host thought he was, but I honestly felt he was being racist and judgmental towards my husband and I.

We had a reservation and were seated quickly once we arrived, however we didn't see a server for at least 10 minutes. We ordered waters and appetizers first. Once those came we were ready to order our entrees but our server was nowhere to be seen. So we waited another long period for her to get to us. she eventually came over and we ordered out steaks and sides. After a long time they brought out 5/6 of the steaks, and 3/5 of our sides, half of which were incorrect. Two of our party didn't receive their steaks or the other side until the rest of the table was already done eating. The waitress address it by saying she was having the “manager search for our steaks”. They did comp some of our bill and gave us free desserts (which were delicious. Overall the service was terrible, even though it was not very busy. It was pretty disappointing for our team dinner.

I had an amazing birthday dinner at Mastro's, I cannot thank Pedro & his server assistant Hugo enough for making my evening so special. We ordered a round of cocktails that they pour table side. Highly recommend their signature cocktails as they come with smoking dry ice. Pedro was knowledgeable with the menu & had great recommendations, which we gladly agreed. He recommended the ruinhart blanc de blanc as a champagne toast, such an amazing wine list it was so hard to choose just one! For dinner we shared a miazaki New York strip that was cooked to a perfect medium rare & accompanied with the sautéed sea scallops & the truffle cauliflower. For dessert we absolutely had to order the buttercake & their seasonal chocolate cheesecake. We will definitely come back to celebrate more special occasions.

food was awful and not to the usual standards. Our server, Tonya would disappear and not return for extended periods of time and then would come across pushy. The food lacked salt and flavor. We were going to order dessert but then Tonya never came back so we felt like we were held hostage. We frequent Mastros in Thousand Oaks, Newport Beach and Costa Mesa as well as Scottsdale and this was a horrible experience in comparison. Would not recommend this location. I would avoid this place with other options close by that are better!

Food was overrated and definitely not worth the price. Steak was okay, but lister bisque was a disappointment. Bisque didn't taste as if it had any sherry. Waiter was nice, talked very fast.
