Had a birria super burrito. The tortilla was nice, soft and tasty, however, the burrito and birria itself was quite dry. No amount of sauce helped saved this burrito. I don't even think I tasted the avocado. I probably should've just stuck with my regular carne asada but I'm not sure there'll be a next time for that. Given the restaurant's high reviews, I'm sure I just ordered the wrong menu item. I should've checked before letting my stomach...

The food was great. The meat was fresh and nicely seasoned. Tried the Farolito minutes before and this place was way better by a lot. I had the sope de carne asada and my wife the asada taco. We come from SoCal and have tried numerous tacos spots including tacos in Tijuana.

This has become my go-to burrito spot. Where the prominent and overrated Guadalajara ALWAYS gives me a stomach-ache no matter what I order, and El Farolito always skimps on avocado on it's own or in guacamole, Mama Mari's makes up for. Their food is always well seasoned, flavorful, and fresh and the staff are genuinely friendly. And the filling burritos are a great value for the quality! SOOO good!
