So to start, I usually always leave hungry from sushi spots as a 6’5 big guy, but Mamanoko really blew my mind. 1 roll was filled with enough flavor and protein to make me content, and the rolls you share will your friends make for great conversation. So many different choices of sushi and every single one is an experience. Love the low light ambience and visual aesthetic of the place. The best part is Japanese lessons intermissions you get when go to the restroom 😂

Not only did we enjoy the most amazing food but the staff were so delightful. They were all so very helpful with suggestions for our first visit. We will definitely be back! A few samples of our half eaten choices, so yummy we couldn’t wait for the photo

Waiter quite pushy on certain meal to be taken and basically almost not letting choose. Very slow to get the meals and then pressured to finish and take our plate. Food is good but clearly overpriced.
The food was delicious but the service was absolutely terrible. Our waitress was incredibly rude and demeaning. We then were asked to clear our table for the next guests after being there less than 90 minutes as a party of 5, ordering multiple courses and drinks etc. It was very disappointing. We used to recommend this place and were loyal repeat customers but after how terrible this experience was I'm not sure we'll be back.
Terrible service. The waitress who served us was slow to help us, sassy, condescending, and forgot about our order. The food was great, but we were really disappointed with the service, because we were genuinely excited to try Mamonoko. We genuinely tried to push through the poor service because the appetizers were great, but once we had been waiting for 20+ minutes without any service after having put our main order in, the waitress came over and had no recollection of us putting our order in. We ended up asking for the check at that point.
We came here for our friend’s bday and right off the bat, their service was terrible. We had an indoor reservation, which they didn’t have ready and we had to wait for 30 mins. When we asked the waiter, who I believe was the owner, what his recommendation was, he said everything was good, but we wanted directions. So we asked him multiple times, but he just kept insisting and repeating that everything was amazing (spoiler alert: they’re all just ok) and that he could only make a recommendation after we got something. After we selected, he then told us that we got his favorite and the most popular, information he withheld. Then after getting our food, he had missed one of our orders. When we let him know, he refused to apologize and rudely insisted that we didn’t order it. The food was good but not overly so. Cod was my favorite but the kale was too salty. Either way did not warrant that disrespect, especially on a birthday.

Echoing a few other reviews here — the service was not just bad, they were very rude. I was sat 30 minutes late — reservation was at 7 and sat down right around 7:30. We waited outside in the cold for that long because no room to wait outside. All fine…things happen restaurants get busy. I get it. But not a single person apologized or acknowledged that we were being sat late. The hostess was even rude to me when I went to check in at 20 minutes late! Then I mentioned to the waiter that we were sat late and that no one acknowledged it—this was after we paid the bill so I wasn’t looking to get anything. I was simply trying to share the point in case it happens to someone else in the future. instead of apologizing for the experience he proceeded to aggressively lecture me about how they can’t kick tables out because it would be rude. I get it — I’m empathetic to the difficulty of running a busy restaurant. But a little kindness and acknowledgement goes a long way. I’d just say poor customer service all around. Disappointing and will not be back.

Soooo good. Awesome staff. I think I made some good choices. See the pics. And, I made a new friend who shared the miso cod salad which was so good. Professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend

From the moment I walked in, the hostess was so kind and welcoming! Despite being full, she was able to accommodate my walk in at the bar and immediately felt good energy!
I ordered the omakase and let me just say…each fish was aged and seasoned to perfection! Also, the Tuna Tataki is a MUST have! The ginger ponzu sauce was to die for and the crispy rice is just crunchy enough without being too hard.
Ended with the tonkotsu sliders which were bomb!
12/10 will be back here again!

Our return to Mamanoko did not disappoint! The food is creative, delicious and consistent from visit to visit. And the staff is exceptional: Ulysses and Matt standouts, as usual. We were warmly greeted even though it had been nearly a year since our last visit.
This place is overhyped, overpriced, and overrated. Service is a 2/10 and sitting outdoors is an awful dining experience if you get stuck there, but sushi is half decent.
