Overall disgusting experience. The guy was very rude to some people before us. We also got the same treatment. He was acting like we were asking him to crash on his couch for the second month in a row lol. Very odd, rude guy. Coffee was sour, the food wasn’t fresh/was tasteless, and it was way overpriced. Really should have walked out when we saw those people being treated so poorly, but we stupidly didn’t. Idk why people kinda hype this place..? Everything aside, the coffee was the worst part about it. Can’t stand sour coffee. 7/11 honestly has better coffee for a couple bucks.

Everything about this place is charming. Delicious food, the sweetest staff and awesome decour!! Their fries are the best I have ever had and that's saying a LOT. They also have clean bathrooms which is always a plus!! 5/5 and absolutely will be coming back.

Has the most comfortable back room I know to listen to local pundits discuss topics of the day. Manny is a gifted interviewer/host. The bathrooms are awesome too.

This coffee shop claims to be a center for political thought and involvement but today when a very kindly older homeless veteran asked me to buy him a coffee the waitstaff was dismissive and clearly hostile. I bought two coffees, one for a friend and one for this gentleman and the coffee for my friend came in a mug as usual while the coffee for this gentleman came in a to go cup without me ever having asked for it. Staff gave looks askance and definitively seemed like they were trying to usher him out as fast as possible. How hypocritical it is to have a sign for “free coffee and ceasefire” and lettering on the wall calling for more open minds when your actual establishment will shun those in need at home.
Just wow. If you can find the front door. This spot has much deeper character than the facade let's on. A safe space, coffee shop, cafe, and meeting of the minds. So much deeper than the outside let's on. The service is coffee shop terrible. The food takes time but is worth the wait. The environment is open, accepting and makes up for the service staff. Couches, dogs, games, mags it has a lot to offer.

Manny's is a really good venue. Probably the best on the street. Food is really good here and the reason why I visit the area. It's good they close early though, because this area is no longer safe at night.

Amazing place and what a gem of a person the owner of the cafe is. Super grateful to receive the most delicious cup of tea. We need this kind of hospitality in the neighborhood- thanks!
