Dear San Franciscan,
I’d rather take my guests here than to Ghiradelli.
It has all the basic flavors and all the unique flavors. It’s a Gelato, not ice cream.
They moved to a new place, in the same row as Toyose and Devil’s Teeth Baking Company.
I recommend Pandan leaf, Strawberry and Mocha. They also have Durian, Soursop, Black sesame , Lychee and coffee VSPO cognac.
If you’re a mint chocolate chip fan, you have got to give it a try.
Enjoy!!!! ❤️

Marco Polo Ice Cream is a true gem in San Francisco, especially if you’re craving something beyond the usual. This spot serves up delicious gelato-style ice cream with a unique Asian twist. Flavors like durian, jackfruit, Thai tea, and matcha bring bold, authentic taste profiles you won’t find at most ice cream shops. Each scoop is creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. They also offer traditional favorites like chocolate and vanilla, so there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re an adventurous eater or just want something cool and refreshing, Marco Polo is absolutely worth the visit.

The Thai tea and sesame flavors are to die for and you get so much for a good price in the area! I definitely recommend checking this place out when it’s hot out or if you need a sweet treat!!💕

Our FAV ice cream spot with unique Asian flavors. The lychee is so yummy and has pieces of frozen fruit in it. I like keeping a pint in my fridge to eat at home!

Update 2025:

Definitely my favorite spot in SF for gelato and imo is superior to ice cream. The sesame, banana, lychee, and durian flavors are my favorite. The concentration of flavor is so much stronger and in your face compared to any ice cream spot in town!

Fantastic flavors. For something unique go for the black sesame. For those who live durian, the durian gelato is fantastic.

i like that there’s a large variety of flavours including lots of tropical fruits you don’t see often at ice cream shops. i tried soursop and mangosteen. the texture was super nice. i thought the flavour was way too subtle, especially the mangosteen was a little bland :(

Great gelato. Would definitely be back to try other flavors.

Ice cream was sooooo good. I disappointed that pistachio ice cream was run out. Does it worth the line for ice cream ? Absolutely.

Surprisingly good! I was a bit hesitant when I saw the pictures of the place, but still decided to go because of the reviews. Turned out to be great! Many flavors were out of stock and I had matcha and sesame. Both are good, matcha is better!
