A must try when in SF. I have had some of the best sushi from Japan and believe me when I say Maruya is spot on. From the classy upscale japanese ambience to its outstanding staff and ownership, you simply cannot find better sushi anywhere else that rivals Maruya in The Bay area and even some locals in Japan. My meal at Maruya was out of this world. The food was all delicious - each course was unique and well-prepared, and all of the fish was fresh and seasoned to perfection. I was blown away in particular by the unagi - might be the best I've ever had. The service from Ray was top notch. I appreciated how attentive and friendly he was throughout the entire meal.I highly recommend Maruya (and will be doing so to all my friends!)
