This was 5th time we dined there. Without exception, our entire party thoroughly enjoyed their selections. We also commend them on offering vegetarian options which worked for half of our group. Very pleasant serving staff and manager.

Disappointing meal, although I appreciate that the female manager asked us how everything was and took 10% off the bill when we told her.

Sat in the forgotten hour lounge where it was nice and quiet, loved the atmosphere. The cocktails were not good – too sweet and also weak. But the food was good enough, and after we switched two beer/wine everyone was happy. For old friends looking for a place to catch up near Union Square, this was great

Deliciosa comida mexicana, muy bien preparada y personal muy amable. Comimos el Molcajete y tomamos una sangría, ambos estuvieron de 10!

It's decent . Food is as expected. Metal chairs are a little uncomfortable. Price higher than quality

We are frequent customers and usually come every Monday because they offer happy hour specials, which are very good. Unfortunately, the waitress’s service was terrible. She attended us with a bad attitude, as if she were upset.

We ordered happy hour tacos, but she charged us for regular tacos. This is already the second time she has done this. We asked for her name and she said her name was Angelina.

Despite this, we 100% recommend the place, as all the food is very delicious.

Food is really good, they have some of the best soft taco shells outside the mission. Service is typically a bit slow but allows you to enjoy the meal. Happy hour deal daily 12-5 is great!

Gourmet Mexican cuisine at its best! I love this place as does my husband. The cocktails are great too — margaritas at happy hour are awesome!

Wonderful spot near Union Square for Mexican cuisine. A three taco mix-and-match for $18 is a crazy value, and the tacos are crazy delicious. I tried the Al Pastor Pork, the Camarones a la Diabla, and the Bistec Ranchero. I couldn’t pick a favorite, loved all three. Our companions loved the Ground Beef and Cauliflower Adobo. Enchiladas Pollo are excellent due to the grilled chicken filling and the subtle red sauce. The rice is perfect - completely done but still fluffy, loaded with flavor. The black beans were good but bland - they could be much more than they are. Cocktails are well made and worth it. Given the location and the quality, Matador is a great value for a nice meal out. We’ll definitely come back!

They have vegetarian options but the vegetarian tacos weren't that great. Starters were better.

Mostly empty but they sat me at the worst table in the room (I was dining alone). Wait staff was checked out. Food was nothing special and atmosphere was cacophonous. Pass on this one,

Absolutely loved the food at Matador! I got the veggie enchiladas with verde sauce and it was amazing. Not too spicy, which was great. They do have a killer hot sauce for spice lovers.
