This is such a great lunch spot if you work in the Financial District. definitely gets pretty busy during lunch hours though so would recommend you get there during off hours if possible! I got the bun thit nuong and it came in a huge bowl w rice noodles and plenty of lemongrass pork. The pork had lots of flavor and wasn't too chewy -- the peanuts on top added really nice garnish and crunch. service was very fast, the food arrived within 5 minutes. The banh mi's are enormous and stuffed to the brim, so hoping to get that next time. Really good prices for the amount of food you get too!

Yes food was so good and they made it so quickly. I got the fish with rice entree and will definitely order again. I just wished it was a little less salty.

Such fire food. Super busy during lunch time during the work week but totally worth the long line. They give a lot of protein and if you sit down, they'll serve you even if they're just supposed to be a takeout place! (Not to be confused with their sit down restaurant Mau.) Price ranges from $16-20 easily -- but totally worth it!

An easy but tasty Vietnamese place. Pock neck was very well roasted.

Super delicious Vietnamese restaurant and I would highly recommend anything and everything on the menu. Ordered the Bun Thit Bo Xao (lemongrass beef noodles without broth) and mango salad (which includes pork belly and shrimp). The lemongrass beef was plentiful and super tender, a great fish sauce based dressing on the side and plenty of veggies and noodles to pair with the beef. The mango salad is a must get, tender and plump pork belly, snappy fresh shrimp, sweet succulent mangoes. I would come back anytime.

All about the catfish clay pot. Could eat it with a spoon. It's been perfect every time except for one instance where it was way too salty (shame, shame chef for that night). Good service, nice ambience, this is a solid place. Oh, and their pho is pretty good, too. Dec 2015.

The food is great but the restaurant is literally closed all the time. It's open for 3 hours. Hard to support a small business when it's closed constantly.

Biggest Banh Mi I've ever had! I had the 5-spice chicken and it was super good. I wish they would have cut the chicken a bit thinner to make it less messy and easier to eat. The meat was flavorful and juicy. It was on the pricey side but that's what's expected in downtown SF.Easy walk from my office and there's tables inside.I'd definitely come back.

Cute little space with 1 communal table and a few 2 tops for dining in. Very popular lunch spot. I got the bun noodle bowl with grilled lemongrass pork. It was so delicious and perfectly grilled. The veggies were crisp and fresh and the vermicelli noodles were al dente.I would definitely recommend Tin for an authentic Vietnamese lunch. Finally, consider ordering ahead to avoid a 10-15 min wait during peak lunch times, either way Tin is worth the wait.

Solid lunch spot. The service is quick, and my takeout was ready 15 minutes after I ordered it online at noon on a weekday. There are about 5 tables inside for eating in.I recommend ordering on the phone or in person. I think they didn't notice the instructions in my online order about my allergy, but when I brought it up in the restaurant, they were very quick to remedy the issue and prepare a new entree (sans allergen) for me. I had the bun thit nuong (grilled pork with vermicelli noodles). The meat marinade was very tasty and true to the dish. The noodles were cooked well. I wish there had been more noodles (relative to the amount of veggies), but this wasn't a dealbreaker. The portion size for the price ($15.50, incl. tax) was typical of a downtown lunch spot. I wasn't stuffed afterward, but I felt moderately full. See my photos for the size of the takeout box relative to an iphone. Next time, I might order an egg roll or an appetizer in addition to an entree.

Yum! Delicious quick lunch option. Placed my order at the counter and got my box lunch in a few minutes. The restaurant has a few tables that probably seats 20 ppl. Nice place to sit for a quick lunch.
