This coffee shop is a true gem!
Their iced coffee is hands-down one of the best I've ever had. It's incredibly strong and flavorful, with a rich, robust taste that truly satisfies.
But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. They are incredibly heartwarming and welcoming, making every visit a delightful experience.
I recently tried their sun-dried tomato cream cheese, and it was absolutely delicious!
I highly recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for both exceptional coffee and friendly service.

Great place to chill and read a book. I ordered a cappuccino which I thought wasn’t really good but can’t comment on the other items of the menu, that looked great btw. Service was good.

Had a vietnamese coffee with a friend and both of us got sick vomiting 1 hour later. Not coming back.

Cute neighborhood spot with tons of light and outdoor/indoor seating. Restroom access with key and Internet with password.

For those accustomed to the $8 third-wave coffee, this won't tickle your highbrow fancies. It's quaint and pleasant, homely!

And for all of the bad reviews about service and not allowing bathroom use, maybe once you own your own business and try and poop on someone else's dime, you'll understand?

So much potential wasted. Looks like a cafe from the 80s. Make an effort to spruce up the place a bit and keep up with the design and cuisine of the times and area and I'm sure you'd get more business. Last time I was there also pretty rude service.

Food and drinks are top notch. But that’s pretty much where it all goes downhill. Agree with the reviews about the poor and rude service. I would simply walk 5 more minutes and go to Morning Due cafe and enjoy even better food and excellent service.

AVOID!!!

Italian soda was just some old cheap syrup in sparkling water, and didn’t have any of the cream that’s supposed to come with it. Does any place in California actually know what an Italian soda is?

Absolutely love Maxfield’s. It’s a humble place, run by a family. They have all the staples and are consistent and fast with reasonable prices. It’s my go to neighborhood cafe.

I’ve been here only a couple times but I’ve recently made it my go-to for working on my laptop with a coffee! I like the breeze from the open door. Plenty of seating and natural light. Window seats, a couple of armchairs and even a large table that can seat 6! Restrooms available for customers. Another plus- several outlets!! You aren’t rushed out or questioned even after 2.5 hours. Free wifi and a block away from Dolores Park. The music isn’t blasting from the speakers and the environment is clean and very low-key. How much better can it get? The iced oat milk latte and veggie bagel on poppyseed I got hit the spot, too. Friendly people working at Maxfield’s, I feel comfortable as a customer here.

Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, uneven flooring, or spaces that are too tight! Can’t say about the bathroom though

Good coffee, great service, and you can actually find a table with wifi and an outlet which feels like a rarity in San Francisco. Would come back!
