The best sandwiches in SF - not an exaggeration - at a very fair price.
Owners are cool, market is well stocked.

Picked up Hairlip Louie and his little Juicy Squeeze Ling Lee up on Baker street, and we're heading to Alamo Square for the Naked Lawn Darts Tournament preliminaries. First things first though...A quick stop at McBaker Market & Deli for one of their world famous Pastrami Sandwiches, and I'll be set for the day! The Lip chose his Lawn Dart partner well, it's not that Ling Lee is a good at throwing the darts, because she isn't, but she's such a huge distraction to the other contestants that they're now favored to win the tournament on April first.
Man-O-Man that Pastrami Sandwich from McBaker Market & Deli was Bombtasticly Delicious! ☆☆☆☆☆

Best sandwiches around and the bread is amazing!

Great sandwiches and cool staff. Seating is outside only and limited space. This place is quickly becoming a local legend, and for good reason. The sandwiches are dank. I’ll have to add some pics later as I always chow down before I remember to take pics of the food from this place.

I ordered a sandwich and fries from This establishment the reviews were good so I thought I would try it. I was very disappointed. The sandwich had no flavor. It was not very good. The fries were old and hard. I will not eat here again or refer people here! And it was not worth the price. It cost way too much!

The sandwiches are amazing, I’ve had just about all of them at this point. The service is fast and friendly.

Amazing sandwiches and friendly service right in the neighborhood. Can’t go wrong with the 49er, titos special, stoner or tanner. Love their honey mustard too I throw it in every sando.

Awesome local deli with big sandwiches made with love. The last one I had was so filling, I didn't eat for the rest of the day. They get really busy too. The convenience store the deli is inside also has a good variety of beverages and things you might need at home.

There is a little seating outside sometimes if you want to eat your sandwich there, but most people just take their sandwiches to parks nearby.

One of my favorite things about SF is all the great deli shops around the city, wish we had more independent shops on the east coast in Florida. Definitely shop and support local if possible.

This local sandwich shop is a hidden gem! Their sandwiches are always fresh and delicious, and they make the best breakfast burritos in town. The staff is super friendly, and the convenience store location is a bonus—you can grab other essentials while you're there. Perfect spot for a quick, tasty bite! Highly recommend trying them out.

I was eager to try out this deli bc of all the amazing pictures and great reviews but it did not meet my expectations. I ordered the 49er, the sandwich was small and falling apart. i also had to wait about 20 min for my sandwich *on a sunday*. additionally, they were all out of pesto and the employees did not say much or acknowledge my presence before & after ordering. disappointed but I will be giving them another try in the future in hopes they were just having a bad day! the chicken in my sandwich was tasty though!

Slinging quite a few sandwiches on Sunday at lunchtime, had to wait about 10 mins. They say the cold sandwiches are faster but I wasn't clear from glancing at the menu if certain ones were hot vs cold. Tried the stoner and it was piled high with meats.

The falafel wrap was really good, the falafel was really flavorful and moist. The rest of the wrap was really good. It was very filling.
