My go-to whenever I’m in SF. McTeague’s has excellent atmosphere, all the best beers, and the best music in any bar, anywhere. The bartenders have always been straight shooters too. You can’t beat McTeague’s!
Had one fun night here. Start out early here, I remember this place is always packed, but for good reason. There's also 2 different serving/dancing areas that help with traffic. There's too many people that hang out next to the bar. The music was good and the drinks were fair and strong.

I went here for Halloween this year and it was just ok, the bar was severely understaffed with only 2 bartenders around most of the night, 2 others appearing intermittently. Drinks were crummy, no specials or cocktail menu in sight. Music was meh, atmosphere just ok. Closed early on a super busy night,
