This is where the Japanese tea garden sources their cookies from. Very delicious but one batch of cookies tastes like the oil is slightly rancid. Still love these cookies and will continue to buy and share with family and friends.

Don’t go. Rude man behind the counter that is not trying to do business. I agree with all the 1 star reviews below. Not worth it. Ruined our day. He overcharged us too.
Discriminatory with certain clientele. If they approve your outfit you may patronize. I guess they care more about the uniform than they do about the welfare of children and victims of crime. The individuals wearing those“OFFENSIVE” pieces of apparel, and carrying guns, are probably police officers trying to help and protect them, yet, this Bakery is REFUSING to serve them. Totally disgusting business and disgusting business model !!!
Terrible customer service! The woman behind the counter was really rude. It was like they didn’t want to do business. The cow ear cookies are pretty good but the customer service is terrible. I would give half a star but that’s not an option.

I have only buy the wife cake here, and it’s the best I have ever had. It’s different than all the other ones as the inside is crunchy. Both my husband and I really liked it. This types of wife cake I can only get from SFO and from that store only. I have tried wife cake from 6 different stories in one day and this is it the best. Will definitely go back just got their wife cake and maybe try some of there other stuff as well
I came to this bakery multiple times for its cow ear cookies when I’m in the area. I’m from NY so coming to SF, I made my way to Chinatown 2 days ago and found out their temporary hours starts at 12pm. So unfortunate as I couldn’t get what I came looking for. Made my way back to the hotel empty handed as I had to leave for NY that day.

Cat ears are delicious

Small Chinese bakery in Chinatown. Almond cookies are delicious, as are their fortune cookies.

Delicious, you won't be sorry. The mini flat assorted flavors bag great with tea or coffee.
We’ve been taking our daughters here since they were kids. They loved to watch the fortune cookie maker in action and enjoy smelling the freshly made cookies. To this day they still want to stop by and get a bag or two of their fortune cookies. They were fresh and crunchy and also flavored with chocolate or strawberry. They do offer other bakery items but by far the fortune and cow ear cookies were the most popular. Staff was friendly and in the last visit before COVID-19 even let us get close to the machine while in operation. I wish I could find my videos from the last visit to show the process through the folding. Remember to bring cash and for those bargain hunters the “reject” fortune cookies are just as good as the “perfect” ones. A bag of rejects was around $2.50 and will get gobbled up quickly.
This shop isn’t your standard bakery with baked goods and pastries. It is more known for their flat fortune cookies and pig ear cookies. There are a variety of flavors of fortune cookies including strawberry and chocolate in mini and regular sized shapes in various bag weights. I personally get tired of these cookies pretty fast so if you love them you’ll probably find something you like here. I believe they are also a wholesaler and sell these cookies on the side. If you do stop by here you should try their pig ear shaped cookies. They come in a standard size bag and are thin and super crunchy. They are fresh and the flavor is mildly sweet. I believe this is what customers come back and rave about. The drawback is that they limit you to 2 bags per person which seems kind of silly. The man who handles the checkout is always in a grumpy mood so do expect that. I would stop by if I was in the area but it’s not anything I would go out of my way for. There are only metered parking nearby but you can park in the lot that is a few blocks away.
