Place is actually called “Mel’s Kitchen,” not Mel’s Drive-In (although the two restaurants are related). Also some of the photos in some other reviews don’t appear to this place. That said - this is a good place to get all your standard American fare as well as the local favorites (chowder in a sourdough bowl). Food was good, service was attentive. The service was on point, food was exactly how I asked, fresh squeezed orange juice and apple, good music and a fabulous location. My server was Primitivo MV. He is on top of things and personable. My French Toast was 🔥! 😘 to the cook. I would recommend and return!!!!

Mel's Kitchen has taken care of me during my stays to visit my husband in a San Francisco hospital. Great service with all the servers. Caring and compassionate. Best of all really good food.
