Had a solid chicken dinner + experience at Mel's recently. The detailed decor is a treat to take in with its several snapshots of the restaurant's history--there are old menus on the wall and functional jukeboxes at many of the booths. Appreciated the exceptional service and hope to come back soon for other menu items.

The service is what stands out the most. I ordered a burger and fries, and it was great. Good location, with limited parking. I didn't have trouble getting a spot, but it was limited. Again, the server was very good. Super attentive, friendly, and helpful. If I am in the area again, I would stop by for lunch.

I had an Oreo milkshake, Mel's smash burger with twisty fries, and root beer float. The Oreo milkshake was perfect. Best milkshake I've had in a long time. The twisty fries are curly fries and they were perfect: crispy and seasoned. The burger was also amazing, melty, and juicy.
