Classic spot with great vibes!
Stopped at Mel’s Drive In on Lombard for breakfast before hitting the road and it totally hit the spot. I had the avocado toast with poached eggs and bacon on the side super fresh, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. My friend got the breakfast burrito (“burrito bomb”) and loved it. Coffee was hot, service was friendly, and the retro diner atmosphere with the little jukebox at the booth made the whole experience even better.

My brother and I ate here one morning before the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. We had standard expectations but were honestly blown away by the outstanding service and cleanliness. We were also really impressed by the working manager who kept an eye on everything to make sure things were running smoothly and personally wiping down windows, surfaces, anything that made a difference.

We came in on our last morning in San Francisco and were very pleased with both the food and the service. We have two (2) kids under the age of 5 and out service was very attentive to them both and never expressed any frustration, despite the noise level or the mess they were making. Out meals came out hot and quick and we were able to enjoy our breakfast. We enjoyed the décor and the retro vibe inside. The parking was very limited, but we has no issue around 7:00AM. Overall,...
