Ordered this barbecue from DoorDash when I received it everything looks really good except it taste like straight charcoal and my son got sick three hours after eating it nonstop using the bathroom with a stomach ache

The food was horrible, we spent well over 150.00 on food for our out of town family and it was not good, the greens were too salty n doused in vinegar, the potato salad was dry n lacking mustard. No one adds onions to potato salad. The Mac n cheese is flavorless. The mustard BBQ sauce is horrid. The smoked dried chicken was dry n flavorless as well. The sweet potatoes were semi good, not cooked enough but the flavor was ok. The cornbread was ok, not too dry but sweet. The beans were good according to our aunt but she tried giving them away so I don't trust it. Overall we won't be back ever ever!!

The service was exceptional!! Owner worked so hard, cleared a table immediately for us. So friendly and fun, the food, so delicious. Place was packed. Not a lot of seating but a lot of orders were take out. He gave us some samples of the tomato soup which was the best I've ever had. It was exactly what we were looking for. Smokey tender meats and great sides. We were so happy with our choice!!!

The owner is super friendly and the food is amazing! It was true American portion size which was a pleasant surprise as other bbq places I’ve visited in sf had tiny portions for the same price. Must go to in sf if you’re visiting Painted Ladies.
I will never forget how they add mustard (the condiment) into their greens. Like they literally read ‘MUSTARD GREENS’ and said “you know what that might actually be a good combo.” Smh or the fact that their sweet potato’s are literally diced up sweet potatoes that was boiled in water. Like no seasoning, no sugar. Nothing just sweet potato… they are a disgrace to the Memphis.

The meat (tried the ribs, pulled pork, and brisket) was decent, everything that went with it was lackluster. The beans were unseasoned and not cooked enough, home-made sauces (cool!) were very sweet and watery, the chile had no beans, mac n cheese was not good, the cole slaw had no mayo.The service was phenomenal though.

One of my main spots when I come to San Francisco, food is always on point.Kid-friendliness: The service was exceptional!! What made me write this review is I was brought a bowl of soup as an appetizer, that I didn't order. What made it a great experience is it was a cold day and it was like they were heating up their customers! LOVED IT! Not to mention the service....so so polite!!! Check them out
Haven’t been here in five years. They have remodeled since the last time I was here. Cozier warmer space. Beware parking is hard to find in this neighborhood.Excellent melt-in-your-mouth brisket. Excellent barbecue sauces.Really kind service also. They gave me a small soup sampler while I was waiting for my togo order.Definitely will be back to try all the other items on the menu
I think the restaurant got new ownership because the food is now as excellent as it was 10~ years ago. Even if I was vegetarian I would still go out of my way to come here for the french onion soup and sides. Memphis Minnie's BBQ is some of the best I've ever had and yes I've been to Texas. Everything on this menu is delicious, you can't go wrong here.

Very good brisket here. Priced well for a sit-down restaurant in the city. Excellent service though it wasn't busy.They also have a lot of Christmas decorations/music if you're into that.
