Bad experience because I went today in long time and have been longtime (10 years) customer, but noticed proportions, cooks, waitress are all new management is poor than past cook had delicious and home style cooking also fast and larger proportion for the price now overpriced for low proportion food seems like controlling amount of food serving me as if it were free and poor waitress needs help or retraining because focused instagrammer food critic and I've been in food service all my life never felt disappointment till today at this place. I ordered okonomiyaki and it was single layer than usual 2 layers also tempura was poor proportion than plentiful plate.
Excellent okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and other staple dishes in Japanese cuisine
This is tumpura onion with stick. Are you kidding me? This is fried stick.
Very nasty. Found 2 pieces of LONG hair in my ramen, never eating here again
We came in as a group and 2 of us weren't hungry. We weren't allowed to split an appetizer while the others got meals. The ramen was worst than instant with old soggy bean sprouts.
This has quickly become my go-to spot in the Japan Center for reliable Japanese food. Everything they make is good and I never have had a problem with seating. Definitely more down-home than fancy though - good place to take friends.
This place is so good and friendly! They have delicious food at reasonable prices and extremely helpful staff. I ordered the ramen and curry lunch special and it was great. Their J-pop white peach drink is to die for especially if you like your drinks on the sweet side. It's so cozy in here too that it feels like you're at a hole in the wall. It might be the Jpop writing but i would 100% recommend this place!
Terrible! Just terrible. The wait of course for a table is understandable for dinner. But waiting for someone to pay attention to us to take our order is ludicrous. Then looking at the menu if we got the two combo dinner believe me it isn't what it is. The original dinner comes with 8 skewers and rice. If you get the combo it should be 8 skewers and the other choice as well right? No! You get three skewers and some really bad portion of the other choice. And the rice and soup, if your the size of a rabbit.
While visiting San Francisco this was by far my favorite spot - visiting it twice in the four days there. The miso ramen dish was AMAZING served perfectly with a boiled egg.
Such a cute place, super comforting and ramen tasted just like some ramen I had back in my town tasted so good and the beef was good too friendly staff would love to come back !! Noodles are homemade which made it so worth and reasonable pricing :D

Quick service, and cheapest foods. While everything else is closed or on break, they're open lol.
I've loved Mifune for decades. If you relax, enjoy the house noodles and aren't expecting to be waited on hand & foot, this is one of the best bangs for your buck, and finest noodle houses in the city.
Too expenisive. If you want the Ribeye Shabu Shabu, they force you to buy two, even if it's 2 people at the table ($28 PER person). Not much food for the Shabu Shabu plate either. Waitress or service people are slow. Not a good bang for buck. Had high hopes.
Everything but the service was bad. Good service can't make up for bland, overpriced food. Many better options around Japantown, not sure how this place has over four stars.
Very small, intimate setting. Waiter was friendly. I had the katsu (pork) curry. A few minutes after putting in my order the waiter came back asking if I was OK with the chicken as it was prepared instead of the pork I ordered. I said no, because that was not what I ordered. He said it would take a little while longer. In a very short time, to my surprise, he brought out my dish. I actually couldn't tell if it was chicken or pork. But... it was delicious! It was my first time having this dish. It was flavorful, well seasoned and well presented. The curry wasn't over-powering.
