We've been here a few times before but our visit on 7/16 was HORRIBLE! Service was HORRIBLE we never received our entrees and the 2 girls who were working didn't really seem to care that we didn't..
A nice place, only three options for the bottomless mimosas and pretty basic for the price. There were also a lot of flies flying through the room though my local friends said that might be more normal for the city. Overall pretty good but not great in combination with the environment and price.
I was excited to try this restaurant given the good reviews but feel that it fell short of my expectations—esp. for the prices. The decor and atmosphere are giving Airbnb vibes. I asked for the cucumber-lime house made soda and had to show it to the sever where it was on the menu. When the drink arrived it tasted like it had essential oils or dish soap in it..? Whatever it was left my husband and I with a tingling feeling in our mouth for ~25 mins. I asked for a coke instead and they didn’t have any but the drink was removed from the bill. I also felt that our server was avoiding us after showing her where the house made sodas were at on the menu. The French toast was good but I don’t think we will return after this awkward experience.
My favorite neighborhood American restaurant. Goto for brunch. Exceptional food that are better then average favorites. Rotating menu is one of many reasons that's keeps me coming back
Kenny and Roy took care of us for my boyfriend's birthday and were just attentive, so kind, so considerate, and just gave us the service that you just rarely see anymore which those of you who eat out often will understand what I mean. Will be coming back soon!
The pea soup was tasty . My friends liked their dishes too. One came without the egg which the kitchen fixed when we asked. Their coffee was great, so was the aperol spritz. Parking in the area (on the weekend) is a bit challenging.
Food is alright. Chicken and gravy was really good. Service was a bit off when we went as it took 15-20 mins for someone to take our drink order. Espresso martinis were very good. Bacon was over cooked but the Chicken Apple Sausage was good. The place could do with some sound panels as it gets really loud. Will come back for the Chicken and Gravy.
This was our first visit to Miller's Rest, and we will definitely be back. The food was amazing, the service was friendly, the atmosphere is nice, and the prices are great! We were there for brunch, which is highly recommended. I can't wait to try their dinner menu.
Great experience as a party of 7, including a 3yr old. Great variety of dishes on a small menu. Very hospitable service, would've given it 5 stars but out of stock of some beers including the only non-alcoholic one on the menu, and food took longer than expected.Very thoughtful in terms of serving the macaroni cheese at a temperature for a 3yr old without me even asking.Great ambience, will definitely go again.
We made a reservation for 11am on a Sunday, not sure how busy it was. When we first arrived there were few others there. But around noon, larger parties started to arrive and it got loud. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Would definitely return!

Every anniversary, I book a restaurant that neither I or my partner has been to in the city. After experiencing an evening at Miller's Rest, I was so impressed by the service and quality of the food/cocktail. I haven't ever had a $20 Old Fashion before so I was skeptical about it, but it was sooo beautifully balanced and boozy. The bacon garnish added so much additional flavor to the whiskey. On top of that, I had the best chicken pot pie in my life! I'm usually not a mushroom person but the mushrooms popped with so much flavor. My partner got the pork chops with chimichurri sauce and he was so delighted with his meal. Next time, I would like to bring more of my friends to experience Miller's Rest.
Ambiance is great. Drinks were not good at all. Food was pretty good. Very busy so that may have been why it wasn't as good as it could have been. Our waiter was apologetic and very accommodating.
Miller's Rest, a true neighborhood gem! Greeted with a warm welcome and provided excellent service from Melissa and their skilled bartender. Cozy and tasteful decor and ambience, with warm lighting. Shrimp Cakes appetizer and Old Fashion Cocktails during Happy Hour, followed by Trout Salad, Sea Bass Entree and side of divine Mac N' Cheese. Pana Cotta dessert was heaven. My friend and I dine out often in The City. Without a doubt, we felt this eatery is among the best, for overall value and experience. Thank you, Miller's Rest! See you soon!
Awesome place! Small room in back is great for hanging out with medium size group. Excellent drinks (although pricey). Great food and service. Pea soup is unbelievable and I don't like peas. Great overall
Wow, what a great find. Lovely place, nice vibe, great comfort food which tastes amazing. Shame we only found it on our last night. Will be back. Highly recommend a visit
