This is a great hole in the wall place if you have a craving for won ton noodles. We ordered 3 different bowls - wonton and dumpling, beef stew tendon and shiitake mushroom. Everyone liked their meal. The HK tea was good too.

Ok I had high hopes for this place as it looked so crowded! Got the beef brisket noodles-my noodles came on the side it was a large portion-maybe they do that so it doesn't soak up all the broth? I don't know. Anyways, the flavor of the meat was ok and was just ok in the juiciness department. The noodles unfortunately had this really bad alkaline taste which I thought would go away if I put it in the broth. Sad to say no, didn't work. So how could I force myself to down this? I didn't. I just cut my losses and ate some of the meat. Had a few sips of the broth. The wonton soup had only three wontons to its name. Nothing special either. The rice roll was Chinese donut was the only thing that was good. Server was nice though. That's about it!

Place is not bad for cheung fun and noodle soup. Place is hard to find cause it's hella small and doesnt look like a restaurant from outside. Cheung fun is good especially the plain one my babac got. The place is cash only like most asian places on irving. Make sure u have cash before you go in unless u plan to dine and ditch lol

Little HK style breakfast spot. A bit more expensive than other places around the area but they have a bigger menu. Portions are on the small side.

The cozy ambiance of Ming Tai Wanton Noodle sets the perfect stage for a quick and delightful breakfast. Despite the limited seating, the restaurant buzzed with energy, creating a communal atmosphere that added to the overall dining experience. Navigating through the simple menu, I opted for the Set B breakfast meal, a decision I didn't regret. The efficiency of the staff was truly impressive; my piping hot meal was ready within a mere 3 minutes of placing my order. This quick turnaround time is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to providing prompt service. Set B featured a delightful trio of culinary delights. The char siu rice noodles were a textural delight, with perfectly cooked noodles complemented by the succulent char siu. The hot milk tea, a classic choice, offered a comforting warmth that paired exceptionally well with the savory components of the meal. The real star of the show, however, was the bowl of wanton noodles. The wantons themselves were a revelation, bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. Ming Tai Wanton Noodle's dedication to simplicity doesn't compromise on taste. Each element of the Set B breakfast meal showcased the culinary prowess of the kitchen. For those seeking a fast yet satisfying breakfast in the heart of San Francisco, Ming Tai Wanton Noodle is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

Had lunch here today and was very happy with the food. My sister and I shared two orders, a Chef's Special with wonton noodles, cha siew rice roll, and hot HK Milk Tea ($16.95?) and a steamed rice bowl with black bean spare ribs ($12.95). It had been years since I've eaten here and the prices have certainly gone up, but with everything going up in price I wasn't surprised. The wonton (only 3 in the whole bowl) were really plump and delicious with the perfect amount of "crunch" to them. The rice roll was good, but lacked a bit of flavor; the sauce that came with it helped along with soy sauce and hot chili paste. The steamed spareribs over rice needed more black bean flavor, but they were actually very good; a few more ribs would've helped, though, as the rice was so plentiful. The HK tea (made with condensed milk) was a nice dessert drink. Food was definitely good enough for me to return and the fact that the waitperson (owner?) came at the end of our meal to ask how we liked everything was an added plus. She was very friendly and told us what was popular with other patrons and even shared how they make the HK tea!

Right after a trip to Hong Kong, I was def in the mood to some HK style breakfast such as rice noodles, turnip cake, porridge and wontons. This was def the right place to come. Flavors were in line with HK! The milk tea was so good for USA standards. Based on how busy they are consistently, that alone says a lot. Don't come here for the ambiance!

The place is small so getting crowded and full house most of the time. Service is quick. Food is really good and fresh. One of our favourite place in Sunset.

First time eating at Ming Tai over the weekend and had a good experience overall. Even with lunch rush, we were able to get a seat right away. Restaurant was packed full of older Chinese people and families, a good sign to me. Pricing is fair, hot tea is included, utensils are clean, wonton had more than 1 piece of shrimp in them, and i didn't get a msg headache (cherry on top). Overall seems like a good authentic Cantonese place; would definitely come back if in the area.

Too many peoples gathered to eat in a tiny place. Ordered togo food, first being told to wait 15 minutes but turn out over 30 minutes. Learned lesson don't go in the festival day such as Thanksgiving Day today.

Solid restaurant in Sunset area. Canto speaking and decent parking options. We ordered Macaroni Chicken and Combo Wonton Noodle Soup With BBQ Pork Rice Noodle. Drinks we got were Hong Kong Style Milk tea and Almond Milk. Almond milk is so good. So sweet, but so good. Food came out quick. Tasted pretty good. Bathroom was okay. Usable clean. It's kinda pricey, but not sure if it's just normal SF pricing.

Solid little HK Breakfast spot! My family and I come here often for lunch on Sundays. This spot is a little small and has a short wait. I would wait around 5-15 minutes for a table of 3 people. We order the Set meals from the Chef's Special Menu. The set meals include a noodle dish, a side dish, and one hot drink or soda. I usually get an iced Hong Kong milk tea, which they charge $2 more for cold drinks. My dad orders meal A - fish cake and rich ball noodle soup and the spicy veggie and fish rice roll. We substitute the fish rice roll with the BBQ pork rice roll. I order meal B - Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup and BBQ Pork Rice Roll. The BBQ rice rolls have diced pork filling, but the highlight of the dish is the rice roll itself. The rice rolls are glossy and thin! Both noodle dishes are yummy and hit the spot. I was a little sad when they started giving less shrimp wontons. The wontons are pretty stuffed with shrimp. Overall, great authentic Cantonese breakfast spot.

Cash only at this place. Please take note. The shrimp wonton is so good ?, chicken is also tasty, same for the soup. However, the noodles is hard, need to cook more time.
