It’s a funky dive bar in the heart of the mission. The bartenders are totally cool. The jukebox plays all day and all night. Bartender Jeff bakes his own homemade sourdough and brings it in on Sunday afternoons. They’ve got a pool table in the back. Lots of drink specials and fundraiser specials. Lots of friendly and talkative locals.
It's amazing to me how this place maintains an air of modesty about it, considering that my assumptions run wild every time I walk past & see a bunch of drunk folks in well-planned & expensive-looking outfits standing around outside having a smoke (inevitably one of the guys will have a tattoo sleeve & look like a pro-skater out burning his paycheck).
I'm Korean and let me tell you, I know a thing or two (or three) about soju. The soju-tini's here are good enuff to get me out of my kimchi squat and into the bar yelling, "jom duh joo say yo!"
