Omg what a DELISH salad. Very friendly staff who helped me decide from the tons of optional add ons you can put in your salad. Very healthy. Extremely tasty. A bit expensive but honestly so worth it.

Just the tiniest portions now, the workers have to use a scale now. 15 bucks for like 3 pieces of chicken and some veggies is a bit high. The staff are nice but whoever at corporate said they needed a scale is not.

When I’m craving a fried chicken sandwich in winter and find myself in the Mission District, I love opting for a healthier alternative: the Bachan’s Bowl at MIXT. It’s a cozy, satisfying mix of warm cilantro brown rice, crispy fried chicken, fresh veggies, Japanese barbecue sauce, and a refreshing ginger-lime dressing. In winter, it’s absolutely perfect—warm and hearty because a cold salad simply would not do.
I will never go to this location again because I paid almost $14 For my bachan bowl And I got 2/3 less than what I usually get when I go to the Polk Street location. I told them I wanted sweet potato added to it, and they did not do so. Upon entering The store the girls had been standing around chatting …about three of them. As soon as I walked in and ordered in person they quickly got my bowl together and gave me my bag with no napkin no fork and sent me on my way. They didn’t come off friendly Just like they wanted to hurry up and get me out of their way so they could finish their conversation. I didn’t even get my Sauce for my bowl.

I just got our group order from MIXT on Valencia, and while the salads were tasty, we were very disappointed with the portion sizes. The salads were noticeably smaller—about 2/3rds of what we typically get from the MIXT downtown location.
For the price and the standards we’ve come to expect from MIXT, this was a letdown. MIXT has always been known for generous portions, and this experience felt far from that. We hope this feedback helps ensure consistency across all locations.

I have been eating at Mixt for 12 years now and I wish it hasn’t decreased in quality over time. The topping options I loved over the years are gone and replaced with non-vegan items. It is baffling to me that a salad restaurant has one vegan salad option. I know I can design my own, but it ends up costing more and the toppings don’t change enough to inspire me.
Vegetarian options: You have to make your own salad or bowl for it to be vegan unless you want the only vegan salad on the menu. Also, most of their salads have meat on them.
