Our server was fantastic and incredibly helpful with his recommendations. The meal was delicious and Ali brought out the plates so our meal wasn't rushed. The drinks were delicious. The vibe of the restaurant was immaculate. The view of the city in the background was lovely.

This pains me to write because we had such an enjoyable lunch at MKT except for one thing: my terrible over-dressed ill-considered version of the Dungeness Crab Louie Salad. My lunch guests all enjoyed their terrific salads (Fresh Poke Salad with deep red cubes of tuna! Bright crisp Caesar Salads with smoky grilled shrimp!) but mine was such a disappointment. Avoid this salad if you're looking for the traditional San Francisco fresh array of individual ingredients like iceberg, crab meat, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, asparagus, and avocado, served with a side of Louie dressing. My salad at MKT came all blended together with so much dressing it was mushy and devoid of fresh, crisp or garden notes. The crab meat was already blended with the Louie sauce which was spicy and sour with overwhelming chili and relish notes. I have no idea if the crab was fresh or canned, spoiled or whatnot. Who blends the crab meat in dressing before it's served? Tradition says the diner folds all the ingredients together once served, not blended into a mono-flavoured bomb by the kitchen. Further, the greens and vegetables were so similarly sopped with dressing they had no snap or crispness. The hard boiled eggs were absent and the overwhelming green olives added to the sour bitter flavor. It was a poorly conceived and flavored mess for a San Francisco tradition. At $40 for an awful seafood salad, I really question what MKT was thinking with this terrible take on the Crab Louis salad. Avoid at all costs.

I can't believe I would be saying this having had many crab Louie salads in my time, but the San Francisco Louie Salad is the best crab Louie salad I've ever had, bar none. AND the carrot cake for dessert as well - amazing. The restaurant has wonderful ambience and the service was, as always, first rate. Thank you.

Very good food selection and quality. Service was also quite good. Nice ambiance for a hotel restaurant. An overall good value.

Breakfast and ambience were perfect. We had a window table with a great view. We enjoyed eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast, gluten free. Our server, Antonio was great and made us feel at home. Farida the hostess was also very nice and checked on us to make sure everything was good. If you are looking for a great breakfast experience, then MKT Restaurant in San Francisco is for you. Thanks, Conrado and Cindy.

The waiter was excellent but the host didn't pay attention to us when we were trying to get her attention. We waited about 10 minutes before another waiter noticed us.

Chose this restaurant for Mother's Day as they allowed us to order off their regular breakfast menu, making it wonderful but also very affordable. The Fairmont and The Palace both had very expensive price fixed menu's costing between $125.00 to $225.00 per person. MKT averaged $40.00 - 50.00 per person. Service was excellent. They even gave me a jar of Marmalade as a Mother's Day gift. Food was excellent!! Everyone loved what they ordered. No leftovers!! Will definitely come back to eat again!!

Armando was wonderful. Everything came out perfectly. This is our go to place for cheeseburgers and Champagne

Breakfast eggs were not tasty and not prepared the way you expect from 5 star hotel. Probably a corner restaurant makes it much better.

Armando was a pleasure and so attentive. The staff is always so wonderful. The scones were perfect.

Excellent food. Terrific service. We felt we were rushed because the restaurant was setting up for an event all around us in the MKT. Felt very uncomfortable. And, unprofessional of a restaurant of this caliber.

This was our first time here. Although we had a reservation, we waited for nearly an hour to be seated. One patron after us was seated before us. I inquired as to when we would be seated. We were eventually seated and our suspicions confirmed that they were short staffed. Although no maître d' or manager apologized for the delay our server did so. She was working very hard and with a great attitude. She saved our night along with the kitchen staff from a horrible experience. The food was better than expected. We left happy but disappointed with management for not letting us now that they were short staffed and that the wait could be longer than expected.
