Nothing can beat a hot pot in a cold day. So satisfying with their AYCE premium beef options.

I love their ponzu dipping sauce. Got the sauce refilled a couple times actually.

A great cooking experience, it did not disappoint. Noodles, veggies and soup were outstanding!

Also, vanilla ice cream was delicious.
We'll definitely be back.

Food was good but service and atmosphere was not good at all. They brought out the meat and the lettuce first without the soup and we were all starving so it was essentially taunting us while we’re starving. There was also another table next to us that were practically screaming at the top of their lungs and nobody told them to quiet down or anything. We couldn’t even hear each other after using very loud voices. They finally brought out the soup base but then it took an excruciating amount of time for it to boil. We asked the waiter for recommendations and he was not very hospitable or helpful. Good food but Friday night around 8pm was not a good time to go. Probably wouldn’t return again. There’s a lot better places around in San Francisco. We’ve had better shabu shabu before but it definitely wasn’t the worst. Meat was pretty tender. Very expensive considering the quality of service and cost though all together.

The prices in their menu book do not match the actual prices. It ends up being more expensive at the end, plus they charge 20% automatic tip, which I would rather decide to give myself even with a party of only 2 people, and then San Francisco charges 4% on top of sales tax which is 8.25% so an extra 12.25% for the city on top of the expensive prices. The quality of the meat was ok, very bland and quite fatty. The Japnese wagyu was ok. The seafood was not very good. The soup was very bland, and the sauces were just ok. The atmosphere is very cheap looking for how much money you end up spending. It's not really worth almost $300 with taxes and tip.

I came for dinner with my family and it was a good experience. I've heard mixed review regarding about this Shabu restaurant and decided to give them a try. Our server Benson was great- was super quick and consistently checking on us. Honestly, Benson's great service made experience here worth it.

Most hot pot/shabu/ACYE places start their timer as soon as you get seated, however at Mokuku- they do not start the timer until you get your broth. The timer starts as soon as the waiter hands you the iPad to order with which is excellent since that does not waste any unnecessary time.

Menu is limited and really easy to navigate across. I just wish that there were more vegetables/side dishes option but overall it was a good experience. Thank you again Benson for your great service!

Had very good food at decent prices, and also had great service but it was a bit slow on the appetizers. Overall it was a great hotpot place.

We went for a friend birthday! The food was great. The meat quality was some of the best I've had. Very fresh! The atmosphere is very nice, the smoked glass partitions create a very nice private feel. The service was the best part of the entire experience! Our server Kingsley was incredible. Smiles and eye contact the entire time. Did a great job explaining the menu and how ordering works, and volunteers his favorites for each category without us having to ask. He was super attentive, through, and really created a home like vibe. I can honestly say Kingsley was literally the best over all server I've had at any restaurant in years!

Vegetarian options: All of the soup broths are vegetarian except the tonkatsu. They also have a gluten-free broth option

Food was good, service was good. There wasn’t anything particular that stood out, it was just a great meal overall. They used iPad for ease of ordering, which was great, the food came out really quickly. Waiter was friendly and helpful, it would’ve been nicer if they focused a bit more on the atmosphere because it feels a bit less luxurious for the meal we’ve had. Definitely would recommend this place if you’re looking for a friend night outWished the vegetables have more variety. Meat was good and plentiful. Would recommend!

They are so kind and meat is good quality. 90 mins limitation and they serve ice cream for desert. The thing is that the price starts from 42 dollars for a person if you don't have a membership. I thought it started from 32 dollars. It turned out it is only for a membership.

Pretty mediocre. Service is decent but…Karaoke room is nice, but the food is extremely mediocre for the asking price.Soup bases are flavorless and sauce options are straightup bad. Sides taste like the frozen food section at costco.

Their Wagyu and pork belly is so good, but their soup base is so mild, almost tasteless. And their chicken karaage is actually Taiwan fried chicken. My boyfriend and I all got diarrhea after having dinner here.
