One of the workers got annoyed because I was indecisive about what I wanted to buy. Despite that what I did get was nice with so many options how could I not take my time??

they were not too good on the cross contamination

When I'm in the Sunset District in San Francisco, I like to pick up some bao at Mongkok Dim Sum before I go home. They were busier a few years ago, but the line is much shorter now compared to a few years ago after a competitor opened in the area. Their dim sum is still good, and the service is pretty much the same as before. Fast and easy is good for me. I’ll still stop by next time I’m in the area.

Fool me once, shame on you. I have only myself to blame for walking in here a 2nd time. I tried their sticky rice in lotus leaf last time and it was surprisingly awful.
But I have a character flaw that thinks sometimes you just catch people on a bad day.
I'm contemplating tossing the pork sui mai and pan fried shrimp thingies in the trash that I'm trying to choke down. Who the ckuf serves dim sum stone cold? Seriously? Their chilli paste smells funny too!
How is this place still in biz?

Mongjok Dim Sum is as good or better than some of the Dim Sum restaurants around the Bay.

I received dried pork shu mai and was refused an exchange. The staff member became rude when I ordered by pieces. They don't like to provide utensils and often mix dry and steamed food in one container. I've noticed them putting dropped food back into the steamer to sell to customers who did not have seen what happened. Will not go back again.

Great quality food. Reasonable prices. It's a bit tight in there but that's because it's normally busy.

Parking: Paid parking in front. Free street parking if willing to walk. Overall great place to stop for a bite to eat or a meal to take home.

Ha gow and Siu Mai, and cha siu bao ( baked n steamed) are my favorites. Especially the cha siu bao, a lof of bbq pork fillings in it. Prices are reasonable in the Sunset area. Ladies who work in the shop are very friendly. Overall for a take out dim sum place is great.

The line is shorter than the one across street. The pork meat bun is not acceptable since the amount of meat has been shrinking to smaller size.

CHEATERS! Although they of course charge full price, you ONLY get HALF! Don't buy from them. Their hotdog buns (wrapped in a croissant like bun on the outside) are a rip off. They cut the hot dogs in HALF lengthwise. I called the owner out on it. I told her that once customers find out your scheme, they won't come back. Impression is a hard thing to remove. I spent $46 dollars worth of food there yesterday.

The food is good one day and bad another, I am very surprised that you passed the health dept. check up. The food should be kept hot at all time. Steamed dumplings should be kept in hot steamers and fried food should be kept hot as well. SF Health Dept., please go inspect this place, I hope you are not passing them by taking a bribe.
