While my main was solid, the execution of the sides was a bit lack luster. The tomatoes in out panzanella were overly ripe and soft, the mouth feel wasn't good and the fried sardines were dry, even w the cheese inside. The service as good, friendly staff and things came quicky.

For three people, we had two pinsa pizzas --MARGHERITA and the TORMARANCIA -- both were yummy. We also had the pulpo and the beet salad -- both were good (maybe a little less dressing on both and a little more beets on the salad). We shared the TORTA AL CIOCCOLATO with pistachio and vanilla/almond gelato -- very rich so we were glad we shared it. Overall really good food and we had the BEST waitress (I think her name was Gina). We hope to be back soon and on the days she works!
We had a lovely group dinner. Easy to book, delicious food, and helpful staff. Highly recommend for a Roman feast!
The food at Montesacro was excellent. We had the beet salad, which is a generous size good for sharing. The cacio e pepe, lasagne and gnocchi were tender and flavorful. And the sour cherry tart was perfect. Wine prices are reasonable, too. All around it's a great addition to the Chestnut Street neighborhood restaurant scene.
Had a great time at Montesacro Marina. The food was excellent, especially the pizza. The only negative was that they wouldn't seat us at a window table even though it was free. We were told that another group had already requested a window table, which seemed strange.

Great restaurant just off of Chestnut Street! Don't miss out on this one. Food is fresh, local and fantastic. Ever had a Roman style pizza? I hadn't and would highly recommend trying one--crust is crunchy yet light...magic. Manager, kitchen staff and servers all dedicated and deliver! Summing it up--fun vibe, great food.
I hadn't been to Montesacro for a long while so I went with a friend who loves pizza. I ordered the octopus antipasti and the pork shoulder tonnato. Both were underwhelming to say the least. The tonnato had the taste of old age and the octopus was skimpy on both the octopus and flavor. The Manhattan was the best thing I ordered. Maybe I should have ordered two and skipped the food.
It was ok. Expensive. We got overcharged $200 and it was really weird how the whole explanation went down but we got our money back a few days later.
Marvelous restaurant with inventive menu. Great service and fun cocktails. Loved every bite
They shrank the menu which I guess saves them money, but it makes the food less attractive

The Marina location has taken a great thing (the original Montesacro) and made it better! The Pinsas are still amazing, and now there is a lot more wonderful food reaching deeper into their Roman roots. Interesting and well-curated wine list and knowledgeable, friendly servers rounded out a wonderful meal. I just wish I had left room for dessert!
Very good place cozy and the food was very delicious The people was very nice We really enjoyed the evening there
Sadly had a bad experience at a place I used to like. Made a reservation for me and wife for valentines which included a menu with wine pairing. Arrived at the restaurant and was told they were out of it , but “if really wanted chef can make something” .. okay. Proceded to order from menu, they were out of the dishes I ordered. Then staff brought one of the dishes I was told they were out? .. left overs? It did not look appealing.. server noticed and started bringing more free plates on the house , flavors were not there and also ruined what could've been a great dining experience
Having been to the Montesacro in Walnut Creek & loved it, this Marina location lived up our high expectations. Authentic and not only are the pasta and pinsa pizzas divine, the appetizers are unique and tasty. We enjoyed the spinach salad with sliced persimmons and the sardines. Service was friendly and attentive. Cozy vibe. Wish the owners can open a few restaurants on the Peninsula too!

Maybe it was an off night; reservation at 6:30 and we have to pick up a kiddo at 8:30pm on 31 Jan. - Seated promptly - Drinks in 15 minutes - Bread to the table at 45 minutes - Forgot our appetizer; offered to remove it from the bill but provided it. (Thank You) - Main course brought at 7:30; informed waiter we needed to leave at 8:15 to pick up kiddo - Ordered dessert to go at 8:00 and requested check - Check received and paid w/tip. - Noticed (after paying) that several courses on our check were not ours (my wife is observant); the appetizer was not on the bill but two other appetizers were - Informed the waiter. - 8:20: no dessert, no adjustment to check - 8:25: dessert brough, not adjustment to check (we paid ~$25 for someone else's meal) Wait staff was very good so assume this was an off night- my bad for not more carefully reviewing the check.....
