Salmon crepe, potatoes crispy. Walnut raisin French toast, six(6!) pieces. Coffee. Order at counter, brought to table. Friendly, helpful, staff. Presentation and taste excellent! And plentiful. Not noisy, easy to talk. Staff accommodating for 2 larger groups that came in, two small street tables. Service not too long, no rush. Will come back to try other items.

I had a terrible experience with Moonlight Cafe. I ordered breakfast through DoorDash and found hair in my food—absolutely disgusting and unacceptable! When I called the restaurant to report the issue, the person on the phone was extremely rude, refused to give me his name, wouldn’t let me speak to a manager, and even hung up on me! He said he had “other customers to deal with” as if my concern didn’t matter.
Horrible customer service and clear hygiene issues. I do NOT recommend this place and hope DoorDash takes action against restaurants that don’t value their customers or follow proper food safety standards.

to be fair. this is not a dinner place. so maybe it's my bad for going around 7/8 pm but this place was not it. first of all. what in pandora's box is going on with the menu. tell me why there's crepes and omelettes (so far so good) and then you look over to the secret jank menu (printed on planks of wood?????) and there's ramen and...poke?......did i read that wrong? no. no you didn't. talk about fusion cuisine. talk about an american melting pot. but some things just aren't supposed to melt together like raw fish and crepes????? like be so fr rn the menu is all over the map LITERALLY. i ordered a basic eggs and potatoes breakfast plate and it was...fine. i'm not a chef and i fear as though this level of cooking was well within my wheelhouse. my friend ordered the turkey sandwich and got turkey with some tomato and lettuce. like ig what else do you want in a sandwich but i think maybe they can jazz up the plates a bit with some chips or something idk. that said, decorations buss. they make absolutely no sense. it's like youre in an antique shop from another dimension she is quirky quirky. but i like that vibe especially here in the city. overall, meh experience but i'll probably go for an actual crepe next time. the normal (not japanese?) menu is idnetical to crepevine in berkeley so i'm assuming theyre owned by the same person. crepevine in berkeley is so good tho so i'm not sure if it's a local management issue. okay bye

Food is pricey but good. They have dine in available but their whole ordering at the counter and picking up your own food and getting up every time you need something is really off putting and makes for a non enjoyable experience. It's weird that there's a guy just standing there kind of watching you while you eat , yet you have to get up and wait in line for a coffee refill. Just weird system for an eatery. Two breakfasts, one coffee, one apple juice $70 after tip.

Solid. It’s breakfast, ok? The Spanish omelette is huge and chock full of ham, the combo crepe was Nutella filled… the fresh squeezed OJ is a MUST, it’s the best OJ I’ve had in years.
No frills environment, a little chilly, wear a sweater- but this is SF so be responsible.
Coffee is standard.

Friendly service at the counter, however, the blintz I ordered was simply pathetic. The crepe itself was "filled" with a whooping spoonful of ricotta, Safeway style strawberry fake filling and 3 pieces of strawberries on top of an undercooked 3 and a half inch " crepe". Absolutely one of the worst food offerings I have ever had the had in the City. They should be ashamed to offer trash like this as legitimate food.

My husband I were greeted by a very friendly host. So far, so good.
We both ordered blintzes.
When our order came out, there was one 4 inch blitz on each plate.
The crepe itself was undercooked and soggy.
There MAY have been a tablespoon of ricotta.
The crepe had an abundance of strawberry jelly INSIDE the blintz, not outside.
Not jam. Not preserves. It was kiddie style cheap jelly, 50's style.
There was a container of sour cream and another of absolutely tasteless apple sauce.
All yours for the better part of 13 dollars.
So far, so bad.
We will not be returning.

Ate here twice in 3 days, food is delicious but best word to describe it is actually "balanced". I ordered falafel plate and nepali chow mein w tofu. Both dishes were perfect portion and good mix of carb + vegetable so when you finish eating you actually feel quite balanced and refreshed, it was unexpected. Normally with noodle dish you might feel very heavy for example but this had perfect combo of noodles and variety of vegetables.
Owner Chandra is very kind, and vibe of place is completely chill. Loved it and thank you Chandra :)
