The food and service was exceptional. Filets and salads perfect. This is our favorite place to dine when we visit San Francisco.
The food was great but the reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 for the food (5 overall) was because the bead of salt for the baked oysters got some in the oysters and made them overwhelming salty. The main course and sides were excellent, though. And the service both at the bar and dining area were superb.
One of our favorite places, but we always forget about it because we don't live too close by! Service was great, food was even better! The steak and lobster tail with cream spinach was such a nice combo. And being able to take home our leftover bread is always such a nice treat. We always love finding an excuse to have a date night at this steakhouse.
We haven't been to a Morton's in over a decade and we were impressed with how good was the meal. We will definitely consider returning to a location when we are in the mood for that type of classic meal.
Morton's SF is still an upscale venue for quality beef and other entrees. It was a Thursday night, not crowded and quiet. They participated in SF Weekly Program and offered a complete prix fixe meal for $75. This was 4 courses. Food was well presented, plated. Note, Unlike other Morton's, they opened at 500 PM. for dinner service.
We had a wonderful four course meal. Renauld did a great serving us, despite having a large party to serve as well.
Went for SF restaurant week and got the special-steak and lobster bisque were excellent as well as the key lime pie for dessert
Very loud. Service is SLOW. I will die before I get my main course. Horrible. Just nothing moves. I want to eat and go home. 80 minutes and we only got out first course

We went to Morton’s The Steakhouse (San Francisco) on October 26 for my son’s engagement + birthday dinner. We spent over $800 and expected top-tier service. Instead, our waitress argued with me about a salad dressing I was literally eating — I ordered ranch, received blue cheese, and she rolled her eyes before snatching the plate. Later, she told us she’d “check our receipt” for mashed potatoes we never ordered. That’s not fine dining. Great food can’t make up for disrespectful service.
Morton’s needs to retrain staff on tone, professionalism, and basic courtesy. Guests shouldn’t leave a celebration feeling embarrassed and disappointed.

This is not my kind of place. That being said, the service was extraordinary. 100%. The food was good, nothing exceptional, but certainly nothing to complain about. The dining room is pleasant. Prices are very high, but you probably know that.

The resturant is never on time specially if we talk about take outs they have made me wait for more than half hour than the time they gave me

Had an amazing dining experience at Morton's! The atmosphere was beautiful, and our waiter was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond for my Boo's birthday, decorating the table with confetti and a birthday sign that made it extra special. The food was fantastic as always, and the whole night was such a vibe. Perfect way to celebrate!
Morton's is a regular dinner choice for us. The consistency of the excellent service accompanied by the tasty food is why we keep coming back.
I've been to this location numerous times, as this is my favorite steakhouse, so I was excited to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday as she and her husband have never been there before.
We were seated right away, and my friend's name on the menu for her 50th birthday was a nice touch, but then it went downhill from there.
Our server arrived, never told us his name (not a big deal), took our drink & food orders, and disappeared. Gone! Close to 30 mins went by and we had to flag down a hostess who was seating another party to see where our waiter went. 10 minutes later our waiter showed up with our drinks, and by this time our food came out. We then ordered a bottle of wine for dinner....big mistake. Again, our waiter was a no show...and after another 20 minutes we asked another waitress about the wine, and she said she would find out. Nope. At this point dinner was done, and we flagged down a manager, asking about the wine, and he said something to the effect that the wine has to be unlocked by another manager? I think it was less than $200 for the bottle but whatever.
The food was still incredible, the ambiance perfect, but the service was subpar. The worse part is that I talked up this spot to my friends as a top tier steakhouse in the bay area, but we would get better service at Texas Roadhouse.
Maestros it is....

This was my first visit, and everything was perfect. The ambience was beautiful, the food was amazing, and it was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday.
