We came in for the large apricot hamantaschen (not sure why they don't do prune!), but wound up with a cherry strudel instead, both of which are tasty. It happens.

Besides those and other sweet treats (e.g., pecan diamonds, cookies), there are plenty of savory treats, too (e.g., piroski in various flavors, eggplant items, borsht, walnuts in fruit leather, etc.).

June 2025 update:

I go here periodically and today I got the delicious apple strudel, which was flavorful without being unnaturally sweet, which I very much enjoy.

Although it’s called Moscow bakery, they proudly display the Ukrainian and Georgian flags in their window.

Interesting shop, with savoury and sweet items. The Beef Cheburek and the beef and cheese piroshki are good. Solid bite to eat for about $5 each. Very fried and greasy tasting. To go only $5 minimum for cards

Had the potato piroshki and cherry turnover. Piroshki was oily for my taste (didn’t know what to expect, turnover was doughy.

The service here is great my favorite thing is meat and cheese piroshki and a poppyseed roll . I don’t live nearby, but whenever we come to San Francisco we always make sure to stop here! It’s the best! And for my mom it is like a little taste of home whenever we get a chance to stop by!

A staple in our family for 20 years! If we are in the area we always make it a priority to go here. Honestly you can't go wrong with whatever you pick from the case here. My personal favorites include the Potato Piroshki, Chebureks, and the chocolate potato's. The staff who all works here are so incredibly kind and helpful!

Kachapuri was good and bread is good. But a lot of the other pastries are old. Like the cherry turnover, Especially the cake, it’s weeks old.
