Solid neighborhood Japanese, with a little something for everybody — a wide selection of hot and cold appetizers, nigiri, rolls, noodle soups and classic entrees. Though maybe not a culinary destination, a fashionable local option frequented by Dogpatch regulars. Outdoor patio seating. Dog-friendly, inside and out.

Fantastic! Admittedly, I don’t know much about Japanese cuisine, but I was with some friends who knew a little and our server (Michael) offered expert advice as well.

Some of the most amazing things were some kind of red spicy seaweed side and a tempura corn dish, both incredible. I ended up ordering the Tokyo kar-age udon with veggies, and it was incredible.

I will definitely be back to this place.
It was our first time dining at this restaurant. The fish was fresh, and the menu was decent, but the service really missed the mark. We had to ask for the check multiple times, and each request for anything — food, drinks, or the bill. The hostess was just standing around and didn’t communicate with the servers when we asked her for help. When I asked another server for the check, he said I had to ask my assigned server — seriously? We ended up waiting longer than we actually...
