Moya is a superb spot for Ethiopian food in this part of the city. Came here after another spot nearby was closed unexpectedly and so glad we did. We came right as they opened for dinner so the service was quick and easy. The food came out in less than ten minutes and what a feast it was. The vegan sampler platter was enormous contrary to the photo of it looking like a grain bowl. Everything on it from the greens to the lentils was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. Enough to feed 2+ people for sure. I also had ordered a spicy tofu dish as well and THAT was something else. I don't see tofu being used often in Ethiopian restaurants but this was really a hit. Savory, spicy, and filling. Our meal came with a side of injera and I was shocked at how fast it came out too. The quality of the injera was great too and made for the perfect vessel to get all the tasty food in our mouths.
Absolutely delicious!! I've been three times in two weeks and will be going back.
So delicious, I can’t recommend it enough! The mushrooms were the favorite, but the chicken and vegetables were also great. The bread is done perfectly
One of the worst Ethiopian restaurants I've ever been to. As a DMV native, I've had a lot of Ethiopian food but nothing as tasteless as moya.
I'm flabbergasted by these reviews, I don't know how I ate at the same restaurant. Well the kitchen itself is cute and the service is friendly. The food is tasteless, overcooked and well below average.
As with most Ethiopian restaurants, the portion sizes are gigantic. So you really don't need to order much to feed a small village, but that village may not want to eat the food.
Food is awesome and that's what you're coming here for :3 if you say you're getting it family style they'll understand you know what an Ethiopian place is and you'll be good ^-^
Love this restaurant! The service is super friendly and the food is phenomenal every single time. Ive had it to go and in restaurant and all times I’ve ordered I’ve never been disappointed. I would recommend you try it!
Highest quality Ethiopian food in the city. I have only ordered the vegetarian options before, but I can say with certainty their veggie sampler, shiro, and mushroom tibs are the very best you will find in San Francisco. Their Injera is also better than most other establishments.
I’m always looking for a good Ethiopian restaurant and I will add this one to my list.
Love the vegan sampler they serve here - the veggies are seasoned so well 🤤 🌿
I get delivery from here all the time but I went to the restaurant last week. It's a really great interior that's clean. The staff were attentive and friendly. And of course the food itself was yummy.
Delicious, homemade Food.
Great Vegetarian options and injera (their bread, soft n tangy) is GF.
HIGHLY recommend.

I had to stay at the All Star to keep an eye on my old palette K Ĺoompatata from Nairobi, because she was just released from the hospital and needed a night watchman. Tata tells me the food from the Moya Restaurant a block away is worthy of a visit so I sent a runner to bring back whatever the special of the day is.
I don't know what the the food was but it was amazingly delicious with simple local ingredients, and wonderful spice flavors of lands far off. Would I recommend Moya...Yes! Would I recommend a stay at the All Star...No!

Everything was amazing, but the doro tibs was the highlight.
Food was so filling and plentiful (picture of my meal after I ate 2/3 of it). Staff are very nice
Modern take on Ethiopian, offering choose-your-base accompaniments (injera, brown rice, salad) to classic vegan and meat mains.
Siga Tibs, sumptuously spicy, is generously portioned and full-on flavor.
Delicious
