With the new location, the food options were decent - I say "were" since I haven't been able to reach anyone there since 7/30/2021 when I placed an order for the family. The system took the order and after about 90 minutes with no DoorDasher picking up my order I attempted to call. Nobody picked up. Drove to the restaurant to pick up my now probably cold order and saw the closed sign - odd for a Friday night right? Waited for my authorization/charge to drop off my credit card, but it got fully processed yesterday. Been making attempts to call and the response says the mailbox hasn't been setup. Bummer to see this happen to another establishment - but would have been nice to take it offline first.

Make sure not to make a complicated order. Ordered a whole 2 things (xlb dumplings and braised crispy chicken in chili oil) and confirmed 4-5x and STILL they got it wrong and then said they took it off the menu the same day instead of fixing it.

We had ordered out for our weekly family dinners and the food was solid. We had ordered around 12 different dishes, but a total of 18 dishes (we ordered 6 dishes twice to ensure that there was enough to eat) which fed around 12 people. (The following is not all the dishes ordered since I did not eat all of them) Mapo tofu: A solid 4! The mapo tofu is what you would expect, firm tofu in sauce with peas (again, huge pea stan). Each piece was nicely coated, with a little sauce at the bottom for extra coating or to add to your rice. Honey Walnut Shrimp: a solid 3.5! It was deep fried with the shell... Now I am not sure if this is usual but in my book, it was rather unusual. I have never had honey walnut shrimp with the shell still on the shrimp (you can actually eat the shell it's fine). It provided a bit of an unexpected crunch but other than that, the outer coating was nice and crunchy, sauce was as expected and the walnuts did not have its shell still on, which was a relief! Broccoli Beef: 3.5! I love broccoli, never underestimate my love for broccoli. So I was very excited for this! The beef was nice, chewy and filled with sauce. Perhaps this was my personal preference but I prefer a little more broccoli flavor in my broccoli. A lot of it, mostly the head, had soaked up the sauce and seemed a little salty, just because broccoli itself does not tend to have a salty taste. Stir Fried Green Beans: 4! Is this the correct name for this dish? I have no idea all I know is the Chinese name 四季豆. Another solid dish, I would prefer the beans a little crunchier (perhaps I like my veggies crunchier) but the sauce, the squishy outside was much delici-oso. Yum! But I would like to say I am biased to this dish as this is my favorite Chinese Vegetable dish. I always order 四季豆 whenever I go a restaurant. Call me a bean expert (please do not. I do not know beans very well). Sweet and Sour Pork: 4.5! A very very solid sweet and sour pork. The outside was flittered with sauce and a bite - crunch! It was nicely coated in batter but the pieces of pork was big enough that it was not just all completely fried. The pork was nice and juicy, I did not have a single dry piece (on my plate, maybe I am good at choosing pieces!). It had a small side of plain broccoli which was definitely the highlight of this dish (I am also a broccoli stan). Yellow Noodles: 3 I do not know what the name of this is. I know that they were yellow and had fixings inside. Perhaps it was curry, perhaps it was not. I just thought of curry because curry tends to be yellow-ish. Nevertheless, I am not a super fan. I just think I do not like this dish in general (I've had it before in other places and not a super fan). It had the smallest kick, the noodles were sad and limp but expected of the noodles traditionally used on this dish (again, just generally not a fan of the dish). Eggplant dish: I did not eat this dish because I do not eat eggplant. And again, I am afraid that I do not know the name of the dish. I blanked out once I heard eggplant since I do not eat them BUT they looked soft, chewy and covered in a delicious dark sauce. I do know that the members who do eat eggplant liked them, so I would suggest that if you too, enjoy eggplants, order them! (even though I did not provide a dish name....) TLDR: This is a very solid Chinese place with seemingly consistently good food. I encourage you to order something you think you will like and it will probably come out solid! Expectations met!

Why do you have people answering the phone who don't speak English? This is completely unacceptable for a restaurant serving AMERICANS in AMERICA where ENGLISH is the primary language. I know they do this so they discriminate against Westerners while whining about "Asian discrimination" at the same time. I'm so tired of dealing with people who come to this country and don't have the decency or respect to learn how to and speak the native language especially when they're in the service industry.

The food is horrible! I was thrilled to see lumpia in their menu but it was soggy. Shrimp was dry. Vegetable was a mess. Noodles was tasteless. Zero kitchen effort. This place is not good even if you're are having the munchies. In fact, save yourself some money and just pick up some steamed rice and a can of sardines. Even that will be much better than a meal from here.

This place used to be good. As it's former self Nan King Road Bistro was awesome. This new incarnation is terrible. The chow mein is tasteless, they always forget to include sauces for pot stickers and the soup dumplings, and their delivery takes forever. If you judge me for wanting sweet and sour for stickers and soy vinegar for dumplings - move along this post is not for you. I don't know who took over the operation or what they are doing but the last two deliveries have made me not want to ever order form here again. If you're looking for good delivery, this ain't it. I'd try anything else you can find but these people who seem to not care about their customers at all.

In my search for a delicious and affordable chinese restaurant, I came across this place. I ordered the beef and broccoli and general tso's orange chicken. The beef and broccoli was pretty bad in every way. The vegetables were mushy, the food was drowning in a thin sauce, and everything was under seasoned and overcooked. The chicken was good. The sauce had good flavor and the chicken had a nice crunch. Unfortunately the chicken was crispier than I would have liked. If you're a fan of crispy and fried foods, you'll enjoy it, but as someone who isn't particularly crazy about it, I made the poor choice and expected it to be less fried and more saucy.

Terrible food oily ,ordered beef chow fun noodles...no meat mostly bean sprouts hardly any flat noodles, swimming in oil,bad seasoning. Girl that takes order can barely speak or understand english....had to point everything that I wanted, and she still got it all wrong threw most of the food away...maybe I'm more picky cuz i'm asian, but will never go here again...too bad cuz they close to home. I'm used to good Chinese food!

Ohhhh my god. The food is AMAZING!!! The portions are enormous and everything came piping hot! I ordered the honey sesame chicken, general tso's orange chicken, and the crab cheese puffs. Chicken was perfectly crispy, and the crab cheese puffs were huge and stuffed with the filling. Already excited to order again!

The sesame chicken is truly amazing! Another customer recommended it to us and we were so glad they did. We ordered take out and drove it all the way back to the east bay. Microwaved it and it was still crispy. Had leftovers and microwaved a second day and it was impossibly not even a bit soggy. It's like magic. One of these days would love to be able to experience it fresh. Also ordered the chicken and green beans which were also great after travel and microwaving. You could also tell the meat was really high quality and they took care in packaging the food. The fried foods had holes to vent the food so they didn't get soggy. Been here twice and we deliberately waited an hour for them to open. Worth it!

Crispy honey sesame chicken, black bean sauce chow fun. These are our go tos for this restaurant. The crispy honey sesame chicken is something we crave ALL the time and haven't found anywhere else that comes close to making it as good. A good Chinese restaurant and so happy to have this in our neighborhood.

We adore their cuisine. Of course their sesame chicken is perfection! We panicked when they closed, so especially grateful to them opening amid COVID. Stay safe and thank you for sharing your deliciousness!!!

This place is a staple. Very good Chinese food at a good price. My favorites here are the mu-shu, and veggie dishes.

*My experiance was more of a 3.5 star* First time trying them and this is during Covid... I placed my order on the website, which I found easy to use, but pickup was somewhat confusing, the website said that curbside pickup is an option, and to call the number when you arrive at the time given, but it was not organized and no one answered the phone ; ( so I had to go to the window and after more confusion they brought two orders asking what was mine, it all got sorted out eventually. Good part was arriving home and the food was still very hot! The food was also very generous! I was glad I did not over order. (I still have plenty for tomorrows lunch.) *Crispy Honey Sesame Chicken; Nice size strips and yes very crispy and tasty! *Steamed Char Slu Bao' Buns; Just ok, probably would not order again. *Mixed Vegetable Egg Foo Young w/pork; I really enjoyed this quite a lot! The large fluffy vegetable & pork filled omelet with a tasty gravy, was a fun surprise, a giant one at that ; ) I would like to try some of the other items in the future, helps me to know how big the portions are for next time ; )

So excited that my all time favorite Chinese restaurant is back! Nan King uses quality ingredients and it shines through on the plate! Best Chinese food in SF hands down. Crispy sesame chicken is a star.
